I've received my box !!!  Beautiful. Very luxurious IMO. There are autographs on it, too. The album is AWESOME ! Their best one. LOve LOVE LOVE it !  I've watched the DVD, it is rather interesting -although it's filmed in black and white in a bad quality, unfortunately. There's no special comment in it made by the one who is filming, and no special "adventure" or funny thing - Not at all like on the little videos of TGIF Film Fest (remember, for BOB ?). Here, it puts you in the position of a guest attending the recording session. You see their work on some songs : there's a chapter for every band member (Ian, leven, mic, Tempest and Norum) speaking or working. And between them, you see how they worked on some songs with Dave Cobb. The most interesting part, IMO, is when they're playing "Days of rocknroll", because it's a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SONG from the one we know !!! At the beginning, DORNR was a kind of "country-like" sounding song, not extraordinary at all, IMO (and nearly boring, in fact !). But with a new tempo and Ian's awesome work on drums, it has become this great song we all like... Welldone, Master Ian Haugland !  Now concerning your discussion about sharing this DVD or not, here's how I see things : There's 2 nuances in this problem, actually. -I'm against uploading on youtube this kind of thing in its entirety, because that's simply a robbery. -However, I think it's normal to show some parts of it in a private way : the word "private" is very important here ! It means that when I bought "Europe live at Swedeb rock" DVD, for instance, I invited some friends at home to watch it with me. They didn't buy it, but I showed it to them anyway... But I didn't uploaded this DVD on youtube to make it seen by the worldwide ! So, uploading it completey : I say no ! Sharing with friends in a private way : I say yes ! Then, I'll add a last subtlety to the problem. I think that sometimes, uploading just a part of a DVD is good publicity for it : it can give people the desire to buy it... |

Just watched the dvd. WOW ...really nice. How amazing would it be if you where there while they try out Praise
Did anyone notice the tracklist somewhere near the end? It needs some serious investigation

got mine box yesterday, and i love it very much. the dvd is very great, it,s a good inmaging for what they are doing in the studio when they recording the cd. love the book and shirt. i,m very happy |

I met Joey at Heathrow on March 5th boarding for Glasgow. When we got off the plane we walked through the exit, discussing WOK. You should have seen Joey's enthusiasm when he suggested me to watch this DVD!!!  I assured him that I had booked the limited edition box and I was waiting for it to be delivered. He said I would have liked it and in fact - now that I have received it and watched the DVD - I understood what he meant. He is so engaged in the process while recording a new album, and even if this is (on purpose) not a "spectacular" kind of DVD, it is so genuine and real that you can imagine to be there with them, without having your presence to affect the scene! Exactly what I'd so love to do! I have his tale still in my heart and eyes. We are lucky - guys and girls - to follow this band and such a frontman of theirs!  |
