Well, not bad... it's catchy and everybody seems to like it. The sound is better than WoK. My rating 8,6. I think there will be better songs in the album and more different.

I usually find that the I prefer other tracks on the albums to what they put out as their singles. There is enough in this track though that can please longtime fans as well as impress the more modern rock folks. Not to mention with a "current/trendy" producer like Cobb again, this sound is par for the course.

I think it's a great great song But why this slow 70s tempo? Imagine the song in the same tempo as Countdown and it would have been a killer track

So things I like. Joeys vocal range. It's getting back up there and he's not using so much vibrato which is killer. As far as the song goes. Meh it's ok. I prefer WOK as a song over this and even that track gets only a few plays every now and then. Vibe of the album should be cool though if this is anything to go by.

After reading through these comments, isn't it funny how different we all are! Somebody isn't keen on the children's vocals, I love it!
In fact I haven't stopped playing this song since I woke up from my Nightshift yesterday afternoon. What a wonderful surprise to have this single land on us! Who was expecting that hey?!
If this is anything to go by and by what the group are saying, this is going to be a killer album!
LIKE CHAMPIONS!

WELL, After a couple of times hearing the new song, I would say this is to me a more "hit" song than wok, it was more easy to like it and the sound is better, the beginning of the solo is what I like the most, good melodies ,then the fast run was ok (same one used in Hole in my pocket 2:50)
My rating : 9/10

But why this slow 70s tempo? Imagine the song in the same tempo as Countdown and it would have been a killer track That's another thing that bothers me; those same midtempo songs over and over again. Why?? The thing with all these midtempo songs is; it all sounds the same more or less. Very little differences here or there. It all plodds away and before you realise the song is over. On the positive side; the part before the solo starts is cool! The staccato riff really lifts the song to another level. For me it could have go on for another bar or two. The solo itself is way too short for my liking. As with the solo in War of kings I have a feeling that it isn't finished. But the sound of the guitar is killer! Joey's singing is also a positive thing. Compare it with how it was in the 80's is useless. His voice still is very recognisable but different now. I like the old voice a little more but am also happy with how it is these days.

It's another thing with this track regarding the mid-tempo discussion - it has a groove, which can't be said about songs like The Second Day or Only Young Twice, for instance. I think most of the songs on the new album will resonate around the mid-tempo section, but they will be much heavier and grandiose, with a sort of a bigger backbone, as Ian mentioned. BTW me and my brother were discussing the keyboard intro of Walk the Earth and I think we're not the only ones getting the vibe from Words of Wisdom intro

First impression: it's a good song, although this one has to grow on me a bit more. I also think they should be careful not to repeat themselves too much, cause I saw that riff/drums/tempo coming from a mile away during the intro. But! It's catchy and I like the melodies and Joey's vocals a lot. The song has some interesting "hooks" to it. The chorus is great! I'm pretty siked to hear the rest! It has a groove, which can't be said about songs like The Second Day. You're kidding right? I think Second Day has an awesome groove...

Time for me to chip in I really like Walk the Earth, it is a great song, catchy yet a grower. I am wondering why there is no promo video, though. Perhaps it is coming?
