Yes, after several clicks on the above link and switching between the Denmark store and back it appeared in the Dutch store. Well what can I say.... They didn't even do some decent overdubs or new Joey vocals, his voice is tired from the show.... I'd say 5/10

After watching some videos from some of the shows on the Rock Meets Classic tour (when they played the songs in the original E tuning), I know that Joey is still able to sing in a fairly high range, so it would have been better if he had just decided to re-record the vocals in the studio and really go for it. I would also have loved if Joey had recorded the backing vocals on his own for this version, like he did on the original '86 version.

Man, Joey doing the backing vocals if they properly tracked this song again, even in Eb would have been amazing. We know he is so much better than this, of course this mix is from a live version but still, I thought for a 30th Anniversary they would have pushed the boat out but maybe this is them being all "this is how we are and sound now" type thing...which is cool, but don't discredit the amazing techniques that pioneered music back in the 80s which helped this song achieve its staggering success.

Yes, that would be a good way to describe this release. I still don't like that cover art, by the way. Speaking of the anniversary, I'm wondering if there will be a 30th anniversary edition of the TFC album. I would love if it included a bonus CD with the rough mixes of the album. John Norum has said in a couple of interviews that he really liked the way those rough mixes sounded, especially when compared to the final, polished and more radio-friendly mix of the album.

Wouldn't we all like that Stein? I for sure do!! They can really make such a great anniversary edition of this album. The only thing is; do they want to?

Soooo, judging by the last comments, this release is a real letdown? That's too bad. Missed opportunity...

Just listened to it for the first time. At the end you can hear Mic playing the German national anthem, so I'm pretty sure the original live recording was taken from a concert in Germany. Yes, Joey said that in an interview. That it has been taken from a live concert in Germany and Kevin Shirley excluded the crowd from there... I asked Mic and Ian recently, they confirmed it's the Geico commercial version, but they don't remember which concert in Germany it was. Not the Wacken 2015 though like the other tracks, because it occurred later on than the Geico commercial. Quoting from Joey's interview: "We told GEICO that if we were gonna do this we want to look the way we want to look because we work all the time now, we tour all the time and we want to sound the way we now sound. So we’re going to give you a new version. That’s actually derived from a live version from Germany where we took the audience out and Kevin Shirley mixed it. Because we wanted to be more up-to-date. It’s a bit punchier. It hasn’t got that ’80s sheen over it. It’s more raw and urgent. So that has actually helped. People don’t think about that so much because they may not have time in the space of the commercial but I think it has helped that the sound is more urgent and more modern." As this was the 30th Anniversary edition I queued at a local record store (in rain and snow) to try and get and copy and managed to get one. They had one left (not sure if they had more than one) but I was glad to get hold of it. I thought it would be difficult to get as it is limited to 1,000 but found another copy in a different store later that week.
I've not opened up but did download the song from iTunes when it was available and very disappointed in the recording/mix as other have mentioned on here. I prefer the live version from the 30th Anniversary concert, although the original version will always be difficult to better.

I received the vinyl last week. Happy to have it anyway. It was sold out at the store. They ordered 5 but got only 1 and it was on hold anyway. But got it when Europe announced there will be more for preorder.
