so we only could guess: TFC original On broken wings TFC remix do you think it's possible? That's a pretty good guess. I'm very curious about what the remix will sound like. I have a couple of guesses: 1. The version they used in the Geico commercial. 2. A remix of the original TFC multitrack recording, this time with louder guitars and less reverb. I just hope it won't be an Avicii remix or something... Any of the first 2 options you mention are fine with me. As long as it's not your last option

I think the GEICO version is the most likely option.

I like the idea of commemorating the 30th anniversary with an album compilation of at least some songs, but I do not like the cover, nothing, ... anyway I wonder what will be the impact that can have this compilation in "album sales" considering that the announcement made by GEICO did that THE FINAL COUNTDOWN was nº 1 in Billboard, ... The important thing is to make a good promotion of the album and the tour ... what I'm not sure

2016 is shaping up to be a stellar year. I could not ask for more from the world after a Final Countdown tour plus a new 2016 version!
Life is good people.
BTW, That link through to the alleged artwork; looks like a cheap screen shot so you guys might get your new improved cover. Personally, I don't mind it, look at the better high res poster, you can see the twinkly stars.

Here's a better quality image of the cover: Thanks to Stefania for posting it on the forum earlier!

Oh wow, now that is quite cool! Still neat they used the same font for 'The Final Countdown'. I use it all the time for various projects when it needs that 'NASA' look.
IMHO, I reckon they should've had Ian, John and Joey sitting on photo studio blocks rather than the chairs... It looks like an amateur photoshop job the way the chairs sort of cheaply fade away into space.
But who's to complain! We are getting a new version of the best song in the world! Wahoooo!

Looks like an amateur photoshop job the way the chairs sort of half fade away into space. But who's to complain! We are getting a new version of the best song in the world! Wahoooo! The font for the lettering there is Xoireqe. Just a handy tip. And I don't mind the cover either....whether we like it or we don't, 30 years has passed, and a bit of an update was needed for the song's image. I do wonder though if they found the original 6 1/2 minute version of the song. THAT'd be nice to hear too. =)

Yeah, I do like the classic "The Final Countdown" font. Usually I'm not too keen on re-recordings, especially when they're made 20 or 30 years after the original versions, but I have to admit I'm quite curious about this new version.
