And the last one. In 2008 you played an ‘almost’ unplugged concert. Have you ever thought to play a concert with a symphonic orchestra as bands like Kiss or Scorpions did in the past?
Joey Tempest: We have talked about doing Almost Unplugged 2,. We had fun the last time and hopefully we can make this happen fairly soon

Wonder if there'll be a new song from this next album in TFC 30th anniversary Tour.
In a post on facebook concerning London show, Europe says : "we have some special surprises!"
Among these special surprises, maybe a novelty ?
They did it already in the past - at least for BOB with "Doghouse" and for LLAE with "mojito girl".
That's a good way to try things, after all...

I'm wondering if anything from TFC 30th tour will provide inspiration to the new album?? I'd love to see some bigger choruses and some built up vocals. I mean it doesn't have to be overkill like the late 80's but... I also liked John Norum's idea of picking 2-3 of the strongest tracks from the 5 newer albums and playing that prior to TFC than playing all of WOK.

Every Sunday Mic and Ian do the show Rockbrunchen (Rock Brunch) on the radio station Rockklassiker, and today Mic said that the new Europe album will be recorded in April and released early autumn. The Final Countdown 30th Anniversary Tour DVD will be released in April/May. Special thanks to lottalove62 for this information!  |

Allright, a speculation, then : If the album is already recorded in april, then for their summer shows Europe will certainly have some novelty "in their fingers".. ? Maybe at least one new song ?  |

At this stage the direction is still uncertain, but it will be a very adventurous and interesting album. […]

We want to release the new album in October or November 2017, but nothing has been decided yet."
By his words it seems that the direction of the new album is not yet very defined, that implies that they don't have the songs? I think if I remember well the news that Dave Cobb would be the producer again ... I haven't been able to read the interview in Bulgarian and I haven't been able to translate it. I really like Dave to come back but that could mean in the new album a musical continuation in the line of WOK, ... ¿? |
