Although I don't consider LLAE as a good or strong album (too many fillers) I do like the production of it very much! Secret society still stands out though when it comes to the post reunion albums production wise.

... Not many shows to play now... So EUROPE gets a lot of time for working on the next album. Wonder if all the songs are written already. Have they started the rehearsal phase, or are they still in the creating phase ? ? ? Hope Mic Michaeli will have an important part, which always means beautiful melodies.

I think it was confirmed that the producer for the next album is again Dave Cobb, ... I love the idea. But this is the first time that repeated producer, so any questions to resolve: Will be this album a continuation of War of Kings? An album with similar songs to previous one but all which could not be include in the first, an extension of WOK? or they are going again give a musical twist and surprise us even maintaining the producer? Let's see ... Anyway, just a thought , or better a desire LOL ; Guns and Roses tour in the US has gone through Nashville city of Dave Cobb, ... he has had great success as a producer of an American country singer named Chris Stapleton, (in Europe he is not known ) but he has gotten a Grammy with Cobb. Ok, then guess the artist who accompanied GnR in Nashville? Yeah ! Chris Stapleton, Dave shared a post on facebook with a photo of the stadium, it was fantastic !! Anyone else thinking the same as me? yeah, why not ? If Guns and Roses do tour in Europe (the continent )? Very likely because it would be a machine to make money and I do not understand how the promoters have not already moved, or maybe yes and is a matter of time ... Is there a possibility that EUROPE could share some date with GUNS AND ROSES? Ok this is a wish ... but will be something really great !!!!! right?

My English is not good but I think Joey talks about the recording of the next album for early next year, ... but I think that the idea was in September or October 2016. Let's see ...

Seems like there has been a delay in plans (of the time of recording)?? Maybe to fit timetables with Dave Cobb??

When I met the guys (at the end of May) and asked Ian and Leven whether they (as a band) have already material for the next album, they assured that they have nothing, yet. They referred to August (before planned recording session in September) when there is time to come up with new songs. For the new songs, Norum must have something brewing, for sure... and of course you never know what Joey has in his pockets(es) 😊😊😊 ha-ha.

Because I was curious to know if there were any "leftover" songs or material from WOK (probably useable in the future album), I asked Leven about this.
I pointed out "Light it up - how we made it" video where you can see list of songs for WOK. Probably you know this list, it is at 1:24 at video uploded by Rodrigo. I assumed those that did not appear in WOK (Montrose, Born to do Uriah, American gods) were demo names for WOK songs, and Leven confirmed that. He confirmed that there were no "leftovers". They will start from scratch - which is kind of exciting, I think...

Thank you for all these news, poundingheart and Eva TomorrowSo, they start working on songs right now. It doesn't mean they don't have already worked on some ideas, actually : especially Mic and JTempest, the main providers of musics (and lyrics!) have perhaps some beautiful melodies in their hats ! But they are going to put things together now : every band member bringing his ideas, trying new things, rythms, associations, and so on... The creative phase. Concerning the mention of early 2017, is it about the RELEASE of the album (which has always been said) or about the RECORDING of the album (which means a delay, indeed) ?

I believe, (it's a feeling) that Joey talks about recording the album for early 2017, not in September 2016 ... because maybe the band will have a new dates more en Autumn ... would be too hasty to get into the study in OCTOBER ... I would like the band close this year full of wonderful concerts, close the period of WOK with the great concerts of the 30th anniversary TFC, and start 2017 with renewed energy, the beginning of another chapter in this fabulous trip .... but let's see ... !

In this Spanish interview, J Tempest says they have began to write songs... rockiller.com/entrevistas/entrevista-joey-tempest-mic-michaeli-europe/"Joey Temest: Every album just happens really quickly in the studio these days! That is very exiting way to work. Even we get surprised with what comes out. We have just started writing Europe 11 and who knows what direction it will take. One thing is for sure. We will try and do something slightly different to BOB and WOK but with the same spirit and foundation. Mic Michaeli: We never decide beforhand what direction to take but rather the songs we write lead the way. You could say we´re on a journey in our own musical universe and we let the magic vessel we´re on take us wherever the wind blows, you know…" So exciting ! (Note that the first part of the interview is in Spanish, but there's the original English interview at the end...)
