There are a few good songs on the album. Nothing outstanding. For the rest, some real boring and ordinairy songs that are a waste of space. I skip a lot on this album! Why not again make about 20 songs to choose from and make a selection for the best 10-12 songs to create an album? A lot of songs are slow and soft and uninspired. Mid- tempo for the best, but not Europe llike happy uptempo songs. I just count 5 of 6 songs worth listening (and those are not the balled or soft songs), for the rest it's all worth skipping, if you like (melodic) rock. OOTW was overproduced indeed, but it had so much more power, energy and quality. This is nothing special overal.

By the way, the good songs still shows that they still got it. Joey is sometimes great like the rest of the boys. So show it!!Perhaps a little less touring and taking some more time to write the best Europe album ever!Time for a combination of Wings, OOTW and the new stuff would be great.

I agree with you on some parts. But I'm curious which songs you reckon as 'a waste of space' and 'boring and oridnary'.

Because this album is one of their best ones! They can NOT stay and make music like they did in the good old 80-90's!! It is 2015 and they have to alter their sound and do fresh new music! And this album has good solid rock with new twists!

I just finished listening to the album for the first time. I only heard 3 songs until today (WOK, Hole in my pocket and Days of rock n roll). I decided to save the rest till I got the album. And people, I think this might be their best release since the comeback! At least, that's my first impression. Not really a weak song on it! No Fillers. I like at least 10 out of 12 songs. Highlights: The second day and Nothin' to ya are absolutely stunning. Man, that stuff grooves! And Days of rock 'n roll is an instant Europe classic Im pretty excited about this record. It's good! Cheers everybody!

Got mine today!! And I must say, it's a beautiful item really! Totally worth the 49 euro's. Nice! What's the book about, how long is it and is it written in English??? I haven't got my hardcopy of the album yet, but already thinking this may well be a must have on vinyl (normally reserve vinyl for the more metal/prog releases such as Paradise Lost, Amorphis, Fates Warning and Queensryche for example, can't afford too much these days so those alone empty the pockets). But so far as vinyl goes, reckon War Of Kings throwback to yesteryear kinda retro vibe lends itself to the vinyl format anyway, and not only would it look sweet can't deny these typical strong Europe songs and huge melodies would sound even better blasting from the stereo turntable!
