i just mailed rock radio veronica for holland in the hope they will play it on the radio. this song desirve it to be play on the radio. maby i will mail other rock stations too.

I think I hear some sort of back up vocals in the chorus, but with the quality of the radio rips, it's kind of hard to hear everything clearly. But I hear something in there!  It's a grim topic covered in the song, and I love the atmosphere and imagination they put into the piece. The whirling-whizzing sound just before Norum launches into his solo. Is it a weapon being spun before it comes down? Is it the wind whipping around the battlefield and the dead under that raging Northern sky? I hear indistinct voices in that part too - I'm not sure if it's whispering, as paphoto suggested, but maybe shouting or cries from the battlefield? Ian's drumming in that melodic bridge - I'm not sure if the Vikings had musicians like "drummers and fife players", but Ian's role during that part is drumming us into battle. He is the signaler. Can't wait to see the video for this song! Like I said, there's so much imagination put into the song itself, that it would be a shame not to see it reflected in the video, too.  |

I also hear some backing vocals in the chorus, not clearly enough though. Let's wait 'til tomorrow. About the reviews, I've sent this song to a few friends of mine, who absolutely adore it. I can summarize their experience with two words - "powerful" and "epic". Gonna try to send it to some radio station this next week, hopefully they'll play it. |
