Hey Eva Tomorrow cool words, girl, but it's not for me to be brave, is that I knew for sure the title-track wouldnt need my vote so I could "afford" try to save another one. But I love that song with every beat of my heart, the night I saw Joey singing it on that TV show, the one of JL Moreno (as spanish you know what I mean) my life changed, rock got into my life and that's maybe the more important thing in my life, rock n' roll. Actually rosa neither vote TFC, so two brave girls here. The Carrie issue is different. I always hated that song, even when I was a tender teenager melting with hard rock ballads but Carrie seems to me too fake, a little like "I must write a pair of ballads for this record" (and Time Has Come is nice but not brilliant), maybe the poorest Europe's songs of their whole discography for me. Anyway I must confess that, reading carefully the text, theres a hughe dose of cruelty. ent: when does next pool start? I'm asking because I'm leaving Wednesday morning. I'm a 20th century lady, no Iphone, no tablet, so I wont probably touch a computer until Monday morning (after meeting our guys in Santiago de Compostela ). Could I already leave my votes for OOTW?

The next run (Out of this world) will start on Tuesday night (soon after this session is closed), and will last until Friday night. Then, from Friday night 'til the night of Monday (1st July) we will vote on Prisoners in Paradise. If you prefer to leave your votes in advance I would ask you to send me a PM. I will then publish your votes during the right sessions (and you will have the possibility to check that I didn't change them for my sordid aims when you come back). This is to avoid the possible generation of confusion in other users. I wish you a big fun in Santiago !

About Carrie: while I admit that it has suffered more than other songs the hammer of time, I still believe it has some special hook. It is difficult now trying to recover the feelings of the eighties, but it really sent me some shivers back then. I believe it is mostly because of the arrangement because when I heard the demo I couldn't really figure out how could have I ever liked that song. But some lines, especially in the second verse, still give me some shake: "I wish I could explain..."

Hi Marina Art, you will have later the chance to vote for Coast to coast. For this run we need to vote only the songs from The Final Countdown album. But don't worry, I also make confusion sometimes (e.g. I can't convince myself that Always the pretenders is on Secret society and not on Start from the dark!) You're right , but I was sober 1. The final countdown 2. Rock the night 3. Ninja 4. Cherokee 5. Heart of stone 6. On the loose

Hello Tone Irene, it is a true big pleasure to have you here among us! I am terribly sorry but since this here is a game based on criterias of progressive selection I'm afraid I cannot accept your votes on Europe and Wings of tomorrow. On the other side this whole game is nothing but an excuse to discuss about Europe music, the songs that we prefer, the songs that have special meanings for us and, why not, those songs that we don't really like. In this perspective I think we'd all be delighted if you would like to share your thoughts or even your votes also about the albums that we have already examined. It's only that I cannot count them. But we're still in an early phase of the game so please, stay with us!

Carrie is a sentimental favourite for me, so it is something I hold close to my heart because it wasn't TFC that hooked me into Europe -- it was Carrie and especially -- Cherokee. Don't forget - back in the mid-80's, it seemed all the bands had to follow the three song "rocker - ballad - rocker" format as singles from their albums....I don't know if that's necessarily true or not, but it certainly seemed that way! Now can I ask something? I've noticed that Mic isn't playing the opening riff to TFC on stage anymore from the youtube videos lately. Is there a reason for that? I kind of felt like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, finding out that the Great and Powerful Oz was only a man behind the curtain...a bit of disappointment for me because this is "The Riff" and shouldn't it be played rather than sampled? And if he's not going to play it, at least mime like he is playing it? It's a bit disconcerting to watch him drink from a bottle of water or checking on his keyboard controls while the song is starting... Not to nit-pick...just my humble opinion.

So my votes WOULD HAVE been: Treated Bad Again Aphasia Wings of tomorrow Wasted Time Stormwind Lyin' Eyes and on that note... Lyin' Eyes is a song I didn't think too much of just a couple of years ago....But the music, although it's recorded sooo many years ago, still evolves in me I keep rediscovering things. Wasted time only gets better and better
