Just imagine the two of us together in Wetzikon then!   Thanks for the link, I just wonder why there's still nothing on John Norum's page...Wm JN said he would have possibly posted the video. I personally would hope to see the whole Q&A session. It was great! I tried to have a spot for a question, but I didn't succeed before the time expired. John Norum has been very funny by greeting the audience with a "Good evening!" in such a deep voice that everybody laughed at that! After that also Joey started to say "Good evening" in his deepest voice, the two of them almost scary! Other 2 notable things, even if one of these has been reported already (in italian though) in the page of one of the radios or something... First, Joey was asked about "Open Your Heart", why the 2 versions of it and if this song had been dedicated to a girl in particular. He very diplomatically avoided to answer the second part by saying he doesn't remember...but he said he remembers when he did write this song. And he said that he still considers that line "waiting for the angels to knock on my doors" one of the best he ever wrote. Looking at my signature in the forum, I couldn't agree the most with him and I was keeping back my tears from hearing these words from him!  Then Joey answered he actually has no idea why they did a second version. He said he still prefers the first one, while the guy who asked the question was in favour of the 2nd version and Joey very kindly raised his  to him! Second notable question, another guy asked if Joey in person played the piano in Tomorrow. He confirmed and he added that he did it also at his sister's wedding. |

@ Michaela, nice to meet you  (although we can't see your face ...) and thanks for the information you provide to us with much detail ... After watching the YouTube video, which I loved, comment on several things: 1. Joey takes a loud voice in TFC ... 2. Norum, I found a very shy guy ... perhaps too, he seems like a musician who sits in front of the crowd for the first time ... I love Norum. 3. Michaela, do you also sang with Joey "Ti amo"? hahaha it's great ... |

I have got these lines upon my face now! ...but still 28 though, because I am slightly younger than Joey, who is 29...  I think John has got a strong personality even if he answers with only a few words. As I said I was impressed by him, I wouldn't really say shy in his case, maybe you have this sort of obeisance when you are in front of him. While in spite of all his spirit on stage, Joey is lovingly shy! Joey expressed himself in a very free way during the acoustic session, taking various "liberties" he usually doesn't take and yes, he came on stage so happy to be there that you could see so well he just wanted to have fun! Of course I sang along "Ti amo", everybody did, what best occasion to declare this to him?!!!? Don't know if this interview has been already posted (a bit shy here and there): |
