I think that if Joey tried to drag Kee to court over the songwriting rights of those songs, Kee would probably start to argue again, about the money he claims that Joey/Europe owes him... Since the songs were never released, they only belong to the songwriter, and who can prove that 30 years later??

It’s not Joey/Europe he should sue and go after, it’s their former manager Thomas Erdtman that has cheated Kee. If Kee bought Norums share in the band when he joined, who got the money? Did Erdtman give that money to Norum which he should’ve, or did he keep them for himself? If Norum never got the money from Erdtman that means that he was never bought out and Kee can’t claim anything from the band.

I'd love to hear the demos, remastered to some degree. Similar to when Bon Jovi put out the boxset with all their demos on it. I don't think there is any issue with them redoing or upgrading the demos. There is probably some legal stuff as to how Kee is compensated financially since no doubt he has some co-writes on the OOTW/PIP era demos, but other bands have worked that stuff out, so I'm sure they could too. And let's be fair, if Kee has a hand in those demos, he should be compensated and get credit if the band were to release some product to market. Unfortunately, it may just not be a priority for the band to sit down and work on this stuff and get it out there. I would have thought something cool might have come out for the 30th of OOTW, even just a digital download of a live show from 88 or 89, but nothing. They seem so focused on the present, with little desire to focus on much in the past, it may not be all that satisfying to them. I think it would also have to be certain band members that want to do this. I'm sure there are other demos out there, but most of what we have heard or know about are PIP era demos and I can't see JN jumping up and down to spend time working on any of that stuff... You're lucky to get Girl From Lebanon in the set these days, and it was the only track they consistently played from PIP.

If i remember correctly acoording to Kee, there is a lot of stuff from the OOTW-PIP era in the vaults including pro-shot live footage, but Sony just won't release it.

I heard in an interview with Ian and Mic that it was a lot of stuff going on at Sony around 1989-1990, the staff were changed, that’s why it was so much trouble with prisoners in paradise, cause that one was recorded and ready to be released in august/september 1990 but since the people they worked on ideas with and that had heard the first version of the album was gone in 1990 and the new staff weren’t at all as interested to release the songs on it they ordered the band back to the studio to write more ”hit” songs. That’s why it took them another year for it to be released.

Or what about the Out of This World song? If I remember correctly, it has to do with Days of Rock and Roll. It does. Joey Tempest: I had that as a follow-up to "The Final Countdown", it was on keyboard and I didn't finish it back in 1988. We picked it up last year and decided to try it on guitar and put another drum tempo to it and the guys all felt it would be great to perform live. Is there any hope at all of these ever being re-visited and released as a proper studio album. I would LOVE to have the Le Baron Boys album in studio quality even though the demos have a charming sound of their own. I really wish the band will consider doing it.
