It's a fantastic album, and very special, at least for me, very emotional. The people who lived the break time and who "suffered" it, know that it was a really sad period, ... I remember the arrival of the GRUNGE , music that I personally hate, and how the great hard rock bands from 80s moved away, but back to the Grunge, with its dark musical style, decadent, an image of the musicians that I have never come to understand, the staging and what bands like NIRVANA meant, that I have never liked, and as mediatically raise to his singer as a musical icon, something that helped his sudden and horrible death, I never understood, but ok! is a personal opinion, we came from the staging of the 80s where the bands looked after their image and their concerts, even Guns and Roses had a particular aesthetic in their live shows.
EUROPE disappeared and I felt that I had lost my musical "referent", I was a little lost, even though I got hooked on GUNS AND ROSES, band I love ...
That's why when the band came back it was as if they suddenly I stopped breathing, what? Europe !! my Europe? And they arrive with a jewel like SFTDark, and suddenly you listen to songs like START FROM THE DARK and you feel that much that delighted you in the past of this band, their music had evolved but the soul of this band is in every work they do because they are very authentic and always show their truth.
And suddenly we listen to HERO with a wonderful video that tries to show us the beginnings of the band, it's a bit like closing the circle ... Or listen FLAMES and YOU think! Woow ... it's absolutely wonderful.
And then the band with John Norum again shows some live shows full of humility but also quality. And they teach us that they have come to stay but that they are not in a hurry. It was something really intelligent. I think we're all happy on this side of the road that started with this album. What a great start EUROPE. Thank you guys
