Special thanks to Mark-David for the idea to start this thread! As I mentioned in this thread, Prisoners in Paradise is probably my least favorite EUROPE album, mainly because so many great songs got cut from the album thanks to Sony. Here is the final tracklist for Prisoners in Paradise: All or Nothing Halfway to Heaven I'll Cry for You Little Bit of Lovin' Talk to Me Seventh Sign Prisoners in Paradise Bad Blood Homeland Got Your Mind in the Gutter 'Til My Heart Beats Down Your Door Girl from Lebanon Six tracks were recorded and fully produced for the album, but did not make it to the final tracklist: Break Free Here Comes the Night Long Time Comin' Mr. Government Man Sweet Love Child Yesterday's News Also, there are the songs that only appear on the Le Baron Boys demo: Blame It On Me Don't Know How to Love No More Little Sinner Never Gonna Say Goodbye Rainbow Warrior Stranded Wanted Man Wild Child What would your dream tracklist for Prisoners in Paradise be?

The rest:
Break free Long time comin' Yesterday's news Little sinner Seventh sign (the one with the ending as they played it live in the beginning) Don't know how to love no more Never gonna say goodbye

I think this tracklist would have been a great mix of heavy old-school Europe, with some very melodic more mid-80's Europe.
1 Never Gonna Say Goodbye 2 Girl from Lebanon 3 Don't Know How to Love No More 4 Rainbow Warrior 5 Little Bit of Lovin' 6 Talk to Me (Le Baron Boys version) 7 'Til My Heart Beats Down Your Door 8 Prisoners in Paradise (single version without the long intro) 9 Blame It On Me 10 Here Comes the Night 11 Little Sinner 12 Stranded

I love this album, I think it was a great turn to make these songs after OOTW, but whenever I hear it, it comes to my mind that it was an album that appeared in the decadent epoch not only of the band but also of the heavy rock melodic that triumphed in the 80s, and the beginning of the style that I have never come to understand: grunge music, with Nirvana at the front band that I DO NOT LIKE ANYTHING. (Sorry out of topic) Anyway, great thread ... I have to think about it.

01- All or Nothing 02- Halfway to Heaven 03- I Don't Know How to Love No More 04- Wanted Man 05- Wild Child 06- Rainbow Warrior 07- Talk to Me (LBB) 08- Break Free 09- Prisoners in Paradise 10- Til My Heart Beats Down Your Door 11- Girl From Lebanon 12- Yesterday's News
I picked 12 since that's the amount of songs that made it to the album.

Does anyone know what the original track list was when the record company rejected it for a re-write ? Well, this interview was done in January 1991 and published in the May 1991 issue of the Japanese rock magazine Burrn!. Joey talked about these 13 songs: 1. "Yesterday's News" 2. "Seventh Sign" 3. "Bad Blood" 4. "Homeland" 5. "Sweet Love Child" 6. "Got Your Mind in the Gutter" 7. "Mr. Government Man" 8. "Break Free" 9. "Here Comes the Night" 10. "Girl from Lebanon" 11. "'Til My Heart Beats Down Your Door" 12. "Little Bit of Lovin'" 13. "Talk to Me" In this interview Joey mentioned that they had 16 songs in total, so there are three songs that he didn't mention by title in the interview. I'm sure one of those three songs are "Long Time Comin'".
