I just had this idea this morning - what if the first 3 tracks are interconnected regarding the subject of the migrant crisis in Europe? Those people WALK THE EARTH, settled into the big countries, creating THE SIEGE among the old settlers, who are rising up to bring back the old glory of their KINGDOM UNITED (the KINGDOM being maybe UK).
I think it's a interesting idea and a solid, opening concept.

A journalist who has already got the album told me that Walk The Earth is a surprise and it's not like the other recent Europe albums

Just found out about this via a Facebook post: www.amazon.co.uk/Walk-Earth-Special-1DVD-Digi-book/dp/B07584R6XX?tag=vig-21--------------------------------------- Walk The Earth (Special Edition) [1CD/1DVD Digi-book] Disc: 1 1. Walk The Earth 2. The Siege 3. Kingdom United 4. Pictures 5. Election Day 6. Wolves 7. GTO 8. Haze 9. Whenever You're Ready 10. Turn To Dust Disc: 2 1. Europe At Abbey Road --------------------------------------- I wonder if the DVD (Disc 2) will be a "making of the album" DVD, just like the DVD that was included in the War of Kings limited edition box set.

It will probably include video material from the recording process. I have pre-ordered it, I am very curious in hearing and feeling the vibe of the studio, so we'll see what happens. The jewel case (standard audio CD) is also available at Amazon UK).

Oh wow just heard WTE on youtube for the first time and I'm very impressed by it. Strong Led Zeppelin influence I would say but unmistakeably Europe also

The dvd contains member individual interviews about the recording of WTE ... Might be not very interesting

Have been listening to WTE on the way back to NZ from Hawaii and have to say...it is growing on me. Albeit very slowly. Just like the song. Its slow and gets a little boring musically for me. The stand out for me is still Joey's vocals. Those are some high notes he hits...and lets not forget, its not 1986 anymore. Norums solo is the biggest let down for me. The melodic stuff at the start is pretty straightforward and cool but the fast stuff is just scratchy nonsense. Slay me but that is my opinion. And thank goodness we all hear different things! Peace
