Yes I'm in agreement on 'Wolves'. I like it alot too. 'Long dark shadows they throw...' Good imagery and very atmospheric, and the Hammond is beautiful and very effective.

It's interesting to see how you guys respond to the album after a few more listens I myself started humming 'The Siege' and 'Whenever You're Ready'around the house these days.

This album has oddly made me revisit WOK and appreciate that album a bit more than I did. I really don't like WTE as an album apart from a couple tracks that are alright. WOK certainly has gone up in my ranking after the release of WTE that is for sure. I just hope Europe don't get caught in the trap of doing things 'different' for the sake of doing things different.

Yeah it is a grower to be fair. Got my Special Edition today. Nice booklet with black and white photos. Shame about the odd spelling mistake in the lyrics.. I mean I didn't write the lyrics, so I don't know but in the title track lyrics I would have thought it was meant to say 'our conscience weighs on all of our minds'. Instead it says 'our conscious weighs on all of our minds'. Maybe it's not a big thing, but it annoys me to see errors (or what seems to me to be errors)...

I just hope Europe don't get caught in the trap of doing things 'different' for the sake of doing things different. I AGREE 100%, we have to move forward if it makes sense to do it, but if you find a place where everything is good, you can enjoy some time there and hope to take a step forward when it is a necessity, but advancing as a goal in itself, I don't think it is sometimes the best. Anyway ... Is this a good album? Of course, in my opinion 9/10, they are 5 great musicians, they carry forward any song, a good and bad. I'm not surprised, but "surprises" can't be given in each album, and it's not a bad thing, I think they can not give a musical spin on each album because then you can leave the board. In this album I spend a different thing to the others and it is that the songs I like a lot or I do not like anything. I have loved WALK THE EARTH, THE SIEGE, GTO, PICTURES and TURN TO DUST, but the rest have not excited me, and in particular WOLVES I don't like anything, I think it's a kind of experiment that it has not come to connect with me. In general this work is well produced, well executed, I love the presence of Mic, it's wonderful to see how his keyboard surrounds each song but I've missed some killer solo of Norum.

I also received my Special Edition copy, and I have a question regarding one line of 'Pictures': "Among the mother's many suns"... Shouldn't it be "Among the mother's many sons"? It's more appropriate, and as Mark said, it bugs me that there are many spelling and interpunctuation mistakes :/

'Pictures': "Among the mother's many suns"... Shouldn't it be "Among the mother's many sons"? It's more appropriate, and as Mark said, it bugs me that there are many spelling and interpunctuation mistakes :/ Some of us had a debate about the lyrics in this song when it was released. We couldn't figure out if it was the mother's sons, or relating to Venus and it's suns....(though Venus only has the same sun as we do on the earth... ) I guess someone should ask Mr Tempest about this

I agree with Michael... It's related to the word Venus, so it's poetical.
