I've lived with the album for a bit now, and I think it is by far his best solo effort. To some degree it is what Europe might sound like if they were still playing the way they did in the past. Even his vocals, which initially bothered me, seem to have tempered some and it is more enjoyable. My opinion, as some other may state, is that yeah... he's stuck a bit in the past, but who cares??? It was the brightest spot in his career. Regardless to details or reasons, he's the guy who didn't get to come back to Europe. Would you rather be playing small clubs or large festivals and theaters? Of course he'd rather be with Europe, and who wouldn't in the same situation. While I am perfectly fine with Norum as the guitar player, they could throw the guy a bone every once in a while. I mean, they could have asked him to play PIP at the 30th Anniversary show or something like that. Like many guys who are asked to come in after an original, they seem to be forgotten by fans and the band. I'm sure that's hard on the ego.

I'm wondering if anything from TFC 30th tour will provide inspiration to the new album?? I'd love to see some bigger choruses and some built up vocals. I mean it doesn't have to be overkill like the late 80's but... I also liked John Norum's idea of picking 2-3 of the strongest tracks from the 5 newer albums and playing that prior to TFC than playing all of WOK.

Is it me or does Joey sound better on TFC tracks? By that I mean, his voice has matured obviously, but he doesn't sound as gruff/raspy on them as he does on the newer stuff.

Seeing all these videos and comments....feeling pretty jealous over here in the States! I wish they were coming here with this.

This is a bit off the topic of this specific concert and more a general comment, but I wonder if this is sort of their way of trying to bridge the new and old in the same show. I agree, I may not want to hear all of WOK, especially in order, at the expense of missing on out on other tracks. During TFC, OOTW, & PIP tours, they pretty much played the full albums minus a song or two, but they mixed it up, it wasn't from start to finish. Possibly since it's a short tour and they play these areas often, they felt like they could pull it off without much criticism. They certainly wouldn't try it in the US or other seldom played areas. My gut tells me that we won't see the same anniversary attention for OOTW and PIP we have for WOT and TFC since Norum didn't play on them.

Besides being filmed was there anything "special" about the evening, since they claimed there would be in their Facebook post?

I wonder if the other shows with follow the same pattern with playing all of WoK before the TFC? I'm sure it's their way of blending new with the old, but I would have liked to have heard that they played some other track from other albums that haven't been played ever or in a long time.

The demo version of Wild Child never did too much for me, but if this had been the finished production with Joey's vocals at the time, it would have been great. I echo the others... Musically Kee is always decent. His vocals always sour me.

If they truly are going to play tracks that they have never played live, then I would bet they are more from the current albums. With the exception of a song or two, they have played basically all off OOTW, and PIP live over periods in their career. Obviously with the Wings shows a couple years back and TFC shows, they have played all those tracks. It could open up a lot more of the catalog if they meant, never played songs since the band got back together. That certainly opens it up to many OOTW, PIP, and post reunion tracks.
