Another detail that I like about the new song is the hammond organ throughout most of the song! Anyone else noticed this?

An autobiography would be VERY welcome indeed! Also a deluxe edition of TFC album would be very nice and welcome. But please please please let them make it a 2cd version. So you have the original album on disc 1 and all the other stuff on disc 2. Leave the legacy intact and don't destroy it by putting songs after Love chaser! The only exception maybe is On broken wings. As I think it should've been included on the album from the start. As for the extra's on disc 2 I like it to have a complete concert from TFC tour with Norum. The only risk is that they put the Solna show on it. Which would be a shame because we already have that one. The other option is that they finally release the complete Hammersmith show on dvd. But since Kee was in the band at that time I don't see it happening.

Now more in detail: the melody of the verse, at a first listening, left me a bit cold, I thought it wasn't that original. Now that it's grown on me and I feel it's very well connected to the riff and has this Sabbath-ish way that builds the right dark and heavy atmosphere. It prepares an excellent contrast to the following opening, first instrumental with the bridge (best moment) and then sang in the chorus. The chorus is catchy but not foregone and very europe-style. All in all I like it very much, not as much as LLAE but certainly more than NSTSTB. Of course rationalizing it all doesn't make a song better. The most important thing is the emotional impact. It worked for me, I can understand if it doesn't work for everybody. One more thing...I have this strange feeling like it's somehow "cut". I am probably wrong (as usual) but I feel that there could be an extended version...I feel that a longer prologue would fit good. I would also expect a longer "suspended" (drums only) chorus after the guitar solo (which by the way is another strong point). I hope that the album will follow this dark, metal line. As vielip I also hope for fast and furious up-tempos, but this single is a good start to define the general mood. A couple of listenings further I have to say I am beginning to like it more. The bridge to the chorus is fantastic! It is very melodic which reminds me of old school Europe. The chorus is also strong and melodic. Joey's high vocals are nice and very welcome. I hope he can deliver it on stage. Norum's guitar sound also get's a thumbs up from me. Is it his stratocaster or just me wanting it to be the stratocaster? Anyway his sound is nice and the solo, although a bit short for my liking, is strong. Which leads me to the point ent brings to the table; a longer unedited album version is definitely an option!

I've listened to it a couple of times now. It's a nice song but to be honest it has nothing special so far. Well okay the bridge to the chorus is a bit special. And Norum's solo is okay-ish. Maybe in the flow of the whole album it'll be better. I hope there will be more uptempo stuff on the album because that's what is missing on the last couple of albums. Except for 'The Beast' it is mid tempo at best. I need more speed and power. Like on the 'Secret Society' album for example. So finger's crossed...

Booked the plane, bought the tickets we're going to London! Gonna have a great time together with Vielip Looking forward to it very much! More people from this forum going to the Londen shows? Maybe it'll be nice to have a meet up with other fans before the gig(s)? Plenty of nice pubs near the venue

Totally agree! And gone are the Wings songs...I hope it's only for this sort of 'Greatest hits' tour.

Ian just posted a message where he says that Mic improvised a keyboardsolo while Norum had technical problems during TFC. I'm very curious for video's of this unique moment! Can you imagine TFC with a keyboardsolo instead of a guitarsolo? A once in a lifetime version if you ask me.
