They've done Doghouse, which is as groovy as this one. Totally different songs. No comparison whatsoever....

Fantastic new song!!! Lot's of Thin Lizzy influences which is always good. They haven't done songs like this since the Wings album.

Yes that's also my hope! But it's good for the band to play festivals and reach new people who would'nt go to a Europe-only show. Same goes for the Scorpions tour in France. Like Joey says; they're playing bigger arena's so they reach more people. And that's a positive thing.

Ha, they're going to play the Bospop festival in the Netherlands once again. Already a pretty nice line up for the sunday with Thunder, Anathema and Dream Theater.

Interesting press conference with some nice insight thoughts from Joey. I think I know what he means when he speaks about videos and singles and I hope he is right. But I doubt it. The most interesting thing I think is when he speaks about which and how many songs from War of Kings are gonna be played live. 4 or 5 he says. That means there's much room for songs from other albums. I hope they're sticking with some songs from Wings in the set. Like they did in Spain after the Wings over Sweden tour last year.

Well to be honest: does a video actually matter at all? I mean back in the day there was MTV who played videos 24/7. Today there is no channel which plays metal and hardrock videos so why bother and spend a lot of money? Same goes for singles. Why release them when nobody hears it on the radio?

Hole in my pocket is what I hoped for! Fast and furious Europe. Although it sounds a bit familiar to The Beast to be honest. On the other hand to me The Beast is one of their best songs from the last couple of albums so you won't hear me complaining. After listening to Hole in my pocket I listened to War of Kings again and to my surprise that song came out much stronger now. I dare say it really has the ability to become a Europe classic! The only complaints I have is that there are no harmony parts in the vocals. And it would've made the song really epic as they'd put in a tempo change midway through. An acceleration to the solo or something. But again, to me it's a fantastic song as it is now. These two songs are really lifting the expectation bar a little higher for me now. That's for sure!

It is such a shame that the band speak about the 80's like it is some sort of disease or something. Come on guys; if you weren't there in the 80's you would'nt have been here today! Be proud of what you've achieved back then and don't talk about 'shake off the 80's' and crap like that...

Joey's high vocals are nice and very welcome. I hope he can deliver it on stage. I agree, Joey really goes for it this time! Norum's guitar sound also get's a thumbs up from me. Is it his stratocaster or just me wanting it to be the stratocaster? Well, the pictures from the video shoot for "War of Kings" showed Norum using a Stratocaster, so I guess you're right. Yes I saw these pictures too. And obviously he uses his stratocaster. Hey Stein Vidar, it's almost a year ago that we met at the Hardrock Café in Stockholm before the Wings show! 1 year, I can't believe how fast time goes!!
