Nice choices Eva Tomorrow! Hysteria and Brothers in Arms could have both made it to my list, too. But now I probably try to figure out something else to my list...? Probably there are no "rules" that these albums couldn't be the same - but makes life interesting to try to find new entries. ..☺

Nice choices Eva Tomorrow ! Hysteria and Brothers in Arms could have both made it to my list, too. But now I probably try to figure out something else to my list...? Probably there are no "rules" that these albums couldn't be the same - but makes life interesting to try to find new entries. ..☺ REALLY? Cool! Well I find interesting to know what listen to "those bands from a representation of the Europe's fans" as can be the users of this forum beyond our beloved band. In this way we can meet new bands or albums. But it's also curious that eg Dire Straits is a band that I know already likes several loyal EUROPE fans ... maybe the quality, beyond the musical genre, is the most important thing to us. Def Leppard is a very special band, a few years ago I saw their movie about their life as a musical group, how they overcome the death of such a young band member, the accident of his drummer who lost his arm ... well it is an incredible story of overcoming. And after passing all that, they are still great! I saw them in Madrid in 2013 together with Whitesnake and Europe, and they gave an outstanding concert. Joe's voice is in very good shape, at least at that moment, although perhaps after having seen our favorite frontman moving around the stage taking ownership of the situation, Joe is more static and manages to empathize less with the audience than Tempest that got into the public in his pocket from the first song to the last ... Anyway, amazing Def Leppard. Let's enjoy it! I'm dying to know your 5 albums poundingheart ! But we have to wait a bit until your nomination ... Now it's cristina 's time!

While we wait for cristina and her 5 albums ... and to be able to advance I'm going to make another nomination, ... that is to say that we will have 2 nominees at the same time (I have read the rules of the thread and allows it ) That's why I nominate in addition to cristina to our friend kuhnibert ... As this is a dynamic thread we can overlap the 2 nominees, ... but please guys !!! we want to know more albums and more bands !!! So let it go !!

Here is my first choice: THE FINAL COUNTDOWN 1986 1. THE FINAL COUNTDOWN 2. ROCK THE NIGHT 3. CARRIE 4. DANGER ON THE TRACK 5. NINJA 6. CHEROKEE 7. TIME HAS COME 8. HEART OF STONE 9. ON THE LOOSE 10. LOVE CHASER I was aged 10, when Tfc was released and it was my first cassette with "real" music. A friend of mine (we're friends now for 33 years) showed them to me and i fell in love, especially with Tfc itself and "Danger on the track". I love the keyboard at the startup. A bit later there came bands like Scorpions, Bon Jovi, Guns n' Roses (i love them, but they'll be not in my list), Warrant and more. My parents asked me, why i don't listen to Music, which "everybody" would listen to, they knew "Tfc" but not, which band sang that song, so i had to explain it. About one year later i bought "Wings of tomorrow", which i like much more than Tfc, but it had not marked my life that way like Tfc, This one was my start to the heavier and harder way of music (und it went real hard for a couple of years^^). So, watch out for more from my side , will post my next choice tomorrow.

Here is my second choice: King Diamond - CONSPIRACY - 1989 1. AT THE GRAVES 2. SLEEPLESS NIGHTS 3. LIES 4. A VISIT FROM THE DEAD 5. THE WEDDING DREAM 6. AMON' BELONGS TO THEM 7. SOMETHING WEIRD 8. VICTIMIZED 9. LET IT BE DONE 10. CREMATION Well, in germany some parents give gifts for easter to their kids, so did mine for easter 1990 (i was aged 14). It should be that CD, and i have to say, the first two times the music was real cool, but the voice sounded awfull. Half a year later i tried it another time, and what should i say, it sounded great to me. So, since 1990 King Diamond has a real great place in my life, he is the first (and only) Metal artist, which my parents could bring to me.... and i know, they did not know, what they`ve done Through the next two years everything from this guy was bought (incl. Mercyful Fate). His voice is not for every person, but i love it in all ways.

Here is my third choice: Herbert Grönemeyer - LUXUS - 1990 1. HARTGELD 2. DEINE LIEBE KLEBT 3. VIDEO 4. ICH WILL MEHR 5. HAARSCHARF 6. LUXUS 7. MARIE 8. FREUNDE 9. SIE My father showed grönemeyer to me several years before that album, so i knew him well before and liked him. THIS CD was my first, i owned by myself from Grönemeyer and it should happen, that he played in my hometown Krefeld. So tickets were bought and i had my first real concert together with my dad. It's definitely not his best album, there are min. three better ones, but this one marked my life because of the concert.

Very interesting kuhnibert, ... I have to listen carefully to your proposals. And I think it's great that your parents gave you rock albums at such an early age ... woow, it's fantastic. And yes! The thread tells us about the albums "of our lives" that is to say those that have meant something special for some reason such as the wonderful memory of sharing a concert with your father. That's why my vote has been for THE FINAL COUNTDOWN, it has definitely been one of the albums of my life, but not the best for me from EUROPE, because in that case I would have a battle between some more albums
