ent please, I need a course about "the secret sacred of the multiquotes", as you can see, I'm opening a lot of threads for my answers because I don't know how to do it in the same thread
...
Ok, I think you deserve to know...
But it won't be easy. It's actually a long story but it's friday afternoon and I have some spare time. After all there are four days between the groups and there's nothing wrong in keeping us busy while the votes keep on coming. So take a seat, grab a beer and listen to my tale.
It happened many years ago. I was on a travel in a far away land with nothing with me but my backpack, my walkman and some cassettes. You know, it was one of those travels you do when you are young, to find yourself and stuff like that. At that time concepts like "where", "when" or "how long" didn't really matter.
However, that day I was walking through a forest. The night caught me quite suddendly and I decided to lit up a fire to warm me up a little and cook me some beens and roots I had previously harvested. Well, believe me, if there's something that I'm really not able to do is cooking without some music, no matter if it's in a modern kitchen or in a wood. So I put my headphones on and started cooking. I was concentrated on my beans when I spotted a movement at the corner of my eye. I turned in that direction and saw a human figure standing just a couple of metres from me...
I jumped up and stared at him with an open mouth. He was tall, wearing an orange cloak with a hood on his head. He looked like a monk or a priest but I could not really tell...I was frightened!
I think that he got aware that he had scared me to death because he removed his hood to reveal a smiling face. He looked old, very old. Deep blue eyes. A short beard and mustaches to frame his mouth. Bald with strange drawings above his ears. He was wearing big black earrings. A kind of familiar... "I am very sorry if I scared you" he said. "I'm lost in the woods. I'm hungry and I'm freezing. May I ask hospitality?".
"Sure, be my guest" I said, a little calmer now.
He made some steps towards me and moved his right arm towards me, as if to lay his hand on my shoulder. I stepped back but he said: "Don't worry, young man" (because I was actually young back then) "I hear a strange sound, is it coming from there?" he asked pointing his finger to my headphones.
"Ye-yes" I said. "I'm cooking, and I'm really not able to do it without..." I started to explain, but he interrupted me: "May I hear it?"
"Of course" said I, and passed him the walkman. He put the headphones on and sit back on a rock. He picked up a piece of wood and tapped on it with both his hand. TUM TUM PA! TU PA TU PA TUM PA! A lot of times in the following years I've tried to remember what song was actually playing in that moment. I'm convinced it was "Cherokee" but you know, I cannot be completely sure.
Anyway, I went back to my beans while he kept on tapping rhythmically and somehow hypnotically on the wood. Then he stopped. His look turned thoughtful as he removed the headphones. He whispered to himself something like: "The force is strong with this one". No, sorry, wrong quote! Something like: "Is he the chosen one?" But, again, it was many years ago, I cannot be too sure about the exact words.
"The dinner is ready, sir" I said.
"Haug" he replied "just call me Haug". We ate in silence.
After the dinner he looked at me and started to talk: "You're a good guy, young man".
"My name is En..." I started to reply but he interrupted me raising his hand.
"Whatever! You are a good guy, and you are worthy of a great reward".
"Oh, come on" I said "for just a couple of beans!". But he ignored my comment.
"Here, take this" he said giving me a sort of yellow and spoiled paper with something written on it. "There are other ways to do it, but you will learn them when you'll be old. And remember, from a great power comes a great responsability" No, sorry, wrong quote again! "And remember, make good use of it!"
I started to read the paper and said "Hey sir, I mean, Haug, I do not understand a word, here, what does it me..." I raised my eyes and he was vanished.
What kind of spirit or ghost had visited me that night? I do not know.
Do you want to know what was written on that paper? Here it comes:
"First. Reply to a message as you normally do by pressing the "quote" button.
Second. Without closing that window, re-open the forum in another window.
Third. In this window quote a second message.
Fourth. Copy the entire text of this new quoted message and paste it in the first one
Fifth. Repeat as many times as you want"It didn't make much sense, back then. "Why should I open and close the windows?" I've been asking to myself for years. And what the hell is a "forum"?
Much later I ended up signing myself in this forum and suddendly it all became clear! This is the great power! This is the sacred secret of the multiquote! It works! IT REALLY WORKS!
So, dear
Eva Tomorrow, now you know it. There's no need to remark that such a valuable wisdom has to be kept secret, because who knows what damage could it create in the wrong hands! So, please, keep it top secret. And if you decide to share it with someone, be sure he or she is a good person (and especially that he/she likes Europe music), like Haug did with me many years ago and like I do it now with you.
Make good use of it.
