Hello, people . Quickly jumping in for a little update. The rank of the Group C is still very undecided. At the moment we have three songs, all of them with 9 votes, fighting for one last spot. But also the songs that for now are a little above (there are two of them with 10 votes) are still in a big danger to be eliminated. With just a few hours still available ( the session closes today at 22.00 CET) literally anything can still happen. This is the moment where votes weigh one ton! All of you that still haven't voted (already members or still waiting to sign in), this is a last call for Group C. Don`t miss the opportunity to push your favourite song further in the game or prepare to bear the regret later (a bit over-dramatic? well, you decide... )  |

Scream of Anger: this song means so much to me and the guys playing it in every show means not only that they acknowledge its big impact on the audience but they're kinda paying a tribute to Marcel Jacob… Obscure lyrics and a dogged rhythm that just leaves you breathless, exactly like the condemned man waiting “for the hangman to appear”… just a sweet anecdote: I went with Marcel to see a EUROPE concert in Stockholm and when the band played the song he started mocking them mimicking the drums and saying that they were playing it slower than they were supposed to play it! I will never forget…
See EUROPE in Stockholm is an absolute pleasure for a EUROPE fan, wonderful city, lovely people and being in the city when Europe born, their hometown, really special. But see EUROPE in Stockholm with Marcel  and listen SCREAM OF ANGER sounds like a perfect plan ! Thanks for share it dear  ... Sadly that some people leave us too soon.
You're right Eva Tomorrow! One moment to be cherished and engraved in my heart and mind forever!!! I think Marcel liked to tease me about my passion for EUROPE! In a nice and funny way! He had a huge respect for the guys and I can tell you the thing is reciprocal! Maybe he was just a bit jealous... |

Now we have four songs fighting  for the last available spot but you voted children of the mind twice so you can still vote one song that according to what you said will probably be "All or nothing" or "Riches to rags". So, which one? P.S. everybody, there's still one hour and a half time to change everything... |

I am not trying to make my vote count twice... but just to give a bit of explanation to my selection Paradize bay - I do love the music and some chords and passages in it take me away. I have seen it live in 2013. A forever green to me! Scream of anger - "Angry" kind of song, also in this case the music itself is very original and capable to raise up the whole crowd at gigs! I will never complain about it played at every concert, I do love the fact that they made a point of playing it in Marcel's memory. Because EUROPE are like that...very sensible guys  . No doubt it's a great song. Tomorrow - It can be considered too sweet, too cheesy, it doesn't matter. It's an exceptional song and Joey performed it with an exceptional voice. Love the fact that he played it "live" only at his sister's wedding party. It must stay so in my opinion, even if I would die to listen to it live one day or the other. It will never happen. All or nothing - OK, at the "I'd brave the heat of a wild cat fire, to satisfy my animal desire" I would rather call watercolourgirl in my help and support to describe how I am feeling... Watching some videos from the PIP's tour doesn't help, but it's like fighting fire with gasoline, so let's just say that this song wins my vote for this group and stop it here. Ah, no sorry...can't stop me now, once you've got me goin'...  Girl from Lebanon - I always go back to that period when in all those interviews Joey was not smiling at all. I remember what he told about having met this girl in a park in Stockholm, if I remember correctly, and having her talk about her situation and life... it became a wonderful song. John Norum has made it "his very own" guitar solo intro. A magic moment in their shows to welcome in almost "religious" silence! Flames - Again, something very original and distinctive of this band. One of the songs I would like to watch live, which I never did. A mother’s son - The music is beautiful, but the lyrics is a masterpiece. This song depicted to me the "role" of the mother in our lives (or parents in general), before I could ever be able to figure it out so clearly myself. But I have had to admit, this is what a mother is meant for and what my mom represents to me even if she is a completely different person compared to me. I think the lyrics is pure poetry. Moved to tears. Mojito girl - An incitement to misbehave... uhm, why not?  |
