Great show as always. Did Black Star Riders blow Europe off the stage? Well in sheer volume terms, yes they did- I was half deaf by the time Europe came on. In any other sense, no they did not, but credit where it is due, they were darn good. You're referring to all those nasty comments on the Black Star Rider FB page, right? I read those too. You know, this actually kind of surprises me....  A lot of BSR fans really seem to hate Europe and talk sh*t about them. A lot of really negative comments. I didn't expect that. I imagined this tour would attract a crowd that likes both bands. Just a good old hardrock lovin' crowd that enjoys both bands. You know, BSR/Lizzy...Europe, I like them both and I know a lot of people do. So personally...I don't understand all the negativity from those fans. Anyway, good to hear you had a great night Mark-David!  I've been impressed with the little respect that have the fans of BLACK STAR RIDERS with EUROPE, I've read today these comments and have pissed me. People worry more to criticize Europe than praise their band, I do not understand. They are falling in stupid topics from the past, speak evil about Joey, are disrespectful, I think even their Wm should stop. And I love seeing as the official facebook page of EUROPE nobody does the same with BSR, we support our band without attacking anyone. And luckily the more than 1,031,000 "likes" of Europe's page have not been dedicated to mess with the 41,600 "likes" of BSR ... it would be very unfair for them, better not fall into temptation. (sorry but I couldn't resist  ..) |

Yeah, I've read some of the comments around BSR page, and man! So much negativity regarding Europe's performances. What seems to be the problem? Maybe it's that UK based Thin Lizzy 'passed' some of its glory and passion of the music to Black Star Riders, and since this tour is in UK people are just farting around how 'their' band was, is and will be classes better than some old Swedish guys who try to live up to their past. Like some kind of mechanical instinct (should've named the song like this lol) of defending what's theirs. I know it's my silly theory, but you can't know with these people... I don't get it - instead of enjoying the show they're praising the ones and sh*tloading the others. :/ Anyway, I'm glad I didn't come across such harsh comments about BSR on Europe site. Everyone seems to have great time on the shows, and both bands seem to rock everyone's world in just one night! That's true rnr spirit!  |

I was walking today on the BSR facebook page and I'm doing an important exercise of serenity for not to respond to the ignorant people who write there, BSR would be a great band but their fans are not in the same level ... they still are loaded against EUROPE, do not get it ... no matter the topic of the thread, that people write insults to EUROPE. I have written several messages and I deleted them because maybe I will light a fire that then I can not control, but I'm still really strong for no to do it, and I can not promise anything ... The next that you use in the same sentence there, the words "EUROPE" and "CRAP" is going to find me !   |
