After having listening several times to the song War Of Kings, now I know what is missing in this song : something growing in it. The song is nice, but it's too much the same from the beginning until the end : no increase of the tempo or of instruments. It's too flat actually. Did you notice when you're listening to the chorus at the end, that there's absolutely no difference with the chorus at the beginnng : it could be the same recording they used several times !
Personnaly, I like better when there's something growing in a song; like in "No stone unterned" for example : it began quietly, but became stronger and stronger until the end...

Now that I received my album (finally !), I'm able to assert : all the songs are good ! As someone say formerly, there's no filler in WOK. It's the first time I like everything in a Europe album. Even in Scret Society - my favorite until WOK was released !- there was a song I hated : "Let the children play" !
But in wok, none ! All fantastic. Music, lyrics, performances, production.

I've just found this on youtube. Some live performances of Joey Tempest : 2 songs from his solo album "azalea place", in different versions : Listen carefully from 12:58, this live version of the song "the match"! Don't you notice anything ? Doesn't it remind you of other EUROPE songs we all know perfectly: "The rainbow bridge" from Wok and "no stone unturned" ?? ? So, this could mean this oriental theme was not a Mic Michaeli creation, but a JTempest idea ! (BTW, the girl playing the flute is awesome.)

I must say Im especially interested in Stein opinion, about this point. The question is : did Mic participate to "Azalea Place" ? Or this oriental theme was a JTempest creation from the beginning, and he used it again in some of his new songs ?

As far as I know, Mic did not play or write anything on Azalea Place.
