Hole in my pocket is what I hoped for! Fast and furious Europe. Although it sounds a bit familiar to The Beast to be honest. On the other hand to me The Beast is one of their best songs from the last couple of albums so you won't hear me complaining. After listening to Hole in my pocket I listened to War of Kings again and to my surprise that song came out much stronger now. I dare say it really has the ability to become a Europe classic! The only complaints I have is that there are no harmony parts in the vocals. And it would've made the song really epic as they'd put in a tempo change midway through. An acceleration to the solo or something. But again, to me it's a fantastic song as it is now. These two songs are really lifting the expectation bar a little higher for me now. That's for sure!

Hole in my Pocket needs a few more listens. It isn't doing anything for me yet...unfortunately.

Hole in my Pocket needs a few more listens. It isn't doing anything for me yet...unfortunately. I really like it alot, and more than War of Kings- and the main reason being the faster tempo and more fluid nature of the song. War of kings is growing on me more, but when I first heard it I had a similar feeling to when I heard NSTSTB - that it was a perfectly solid song, but that I felt like I wanted to speed it up.

"Hole in my Pocket" is really good and I like it very much, but my rating is 9'25/10. For me it's not a 10 song like "Riches To Rags", "The Beast" or "Always The Pretenders". I still hope there will be at least one perfect song in the album.

A while ago we were wondering about the CD or CD/DVD thing. I just received the following information from the shop at which I ordered (EMP Germany): The label has withdrawn the original information of Digipack plus DVD. My order will only be a Digipack with a bonus song. So folks: NO DVD!!!
I must say, I am angry.

This is really explosive! It happened to me yesterday to put it on the big screen at home and I went totally "WOW!" The pace of it is fantastic and of course that line "On that night, under the raging Northern sky..." is really something!

Hi steph, I know it's disappointing but totally due to those resellers who advertised with wrong descriptions. The band never advertised a DVD. And the difference in price between the two versions, the one with CD only and the one with the supposed DVD, was really so small (2 EUR more or less) that it was predictable, in a way. Furthermore by comparing the full description of the content in many websites it was clear that the difference was up to Vasastan. Amazon and the other main ones corrected their websites starting from 1 month ago...

Are you serious? Blaming it on the resellers? The label at one time transferred the data, which said Digipak containing a CD plus DVD (Making of).
It's ordinary business behavior of labels. Are there enough people willing to pay more money for one more song and at the same time accepting less quality in packaging (after all digipaks usually are flimsy papersleeves without booklets)? It's a choice you make as a customer. I for one prefer quality and being treated fairly as a customer. Receiving an extra DVD would have been a bonus that would have made me accept lousy packaging.
I feel I am being duped right now and I don't like it. I am going to change my order.
