Cool song, nice melodies. Like the melodic break down bridge part. But someone has to address it...Joeys vocals. Can't warm to them on this track unfortunately. It sounds as though he's singing karaoke, half-pie shouting with too much wavering vibrato. Apart from that glitch in the matrix, it's pretty awesome. Bag of bones didn't do it for me as an album, cover art did however War of Kings sounds like it should set up the album nicely.

The band's post was edited and now instead of linking to local iTunes stores to download the single, the link is now of the Amazon Music US store where the single is also available.

Songs really growing on me. Feels very much like a modern WOT track, especially in the guitars.

The single is already out, the band is promotional in Paris according told us Ian, I miss again something more promotional in social networks, leaving aside the problem of delayed single, I think it could have launched a bigger way, what actually this band deserves, it could be released on video at a time, or at least have release date thereof, we could have had some small video of any member of the band that sure it would roll through many websites and links of fans and the press. Joey & Ian are promotional in Paris and in their facebook page with more than one million "likes" have not said anything. I do not get it. This band is very large, has come a very elaborate way has gained slowly press and public, keeping their fans deserve better promotion, they deserve this at the height of the quality of their music. I think the band could also have used the single release to launch its new official site, improved, updated ... could do so many things! They are supposed to have a team of publicists to analyze, prepare, and organize a plan for the promotion of the new album, social networking, information ... What is the next country they are going to do promotion? We do not know. Interviews with Joey or the other members of the band, not published. Here our friend gemaim shared the information about an interview with Joey next Sunday on a radio, ... this information should be moving on facebook and people should know, that's promotion!

Whilst I don't doubt his fantastic technical ability and power in his voice, the somewhat staccato (? probably not the right expression) nature of the vocal rhythm I find less appealing than rest of the song. I guess that's just the way the song was written, but I prefer Joey when he sings more flowing melodic style like 'No Stone Unturned'. But I expect lots of different songs on the album, so I'm sure there'll be more like that.

By the way, listening more closely to the lyrics
On that night under the raging Northern sky The seeds of legend lie Slowed (swollen?) almost to a man The War of Kings began
As previously suggested by Stein-Vidar, I think it is definitely 'Slaughtered almost to a man'

Since the song is now released, does anybody know if it's possible to obtain the official lyrics? Or do we have to wait for the album insert? As I'm still unsure about just one little part. I mean, it's not life and death, but it would be nice to know...

Definitively so. Thanks Stein! On my FB page there's in fact a reviewed version now, but still not official and still at a 95% of certainty even for native-English people. I'll copy it here when I get on the laptop again. Now I am on the cell and can't copy and paste easily.

By ear it seems absolutely so...however... it's probably because of my poor english, but I totally miss the sense. Who was slaughtered? The seeds of legend? And why? And who did it? And then... almost to a man, meaning? Is it clear for any of you? I know that Joey's lyrics are sometimes tricky but here I'm compleltely lost. Since this is the main chorus I'd like to understand more...any idea?

"Last man standing". That's my guess, anyway.
