I've hear all the songs in "Memories" it has transported me to the era of the 80s, the time of the big bands of Hard Rock, the songs with great guitar riffs alternating with epic melodies, this album has the Goran magnificent voice, and excellent Michael with his guitar. In these first few times I have heard hooked me "Broken Heart" and "Prisoner", the latter is an amazing song guys, really precious. I recommend it, it's fantastic. We don't forget that John Norum plays the guitar solo in "Blackwater", ... what can we say about John? Just good things ... the best "guest" for the album. Congratulations to Michael , I'm happy for him, he has fought hard for this album and the result was worth. Also, the reviews are good, ... is a perfect beginning: www.lordsofmetal.nl/en/reviews/view/id/28523The album contains ten tracks and all songs sound equally catchy, melodic and just really good with a nice high sing-along content. The band is built on a guitar player, but it is not that he thereby is huge on the foreground, which is good. The highlight is that the singer is none other than Goran Edman (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen) and guitarist John Norum from Europe also plays a solo in a song. Everything is done to make this a great album and they managed it excellent.

Michael is getting very good reviews that are sharing on his Official Facebook Page, here's another very interesting from METAL-TEMPLE portal that gives a score of 9/10 to MEMORIES. "...Verdict time now and if there’s one thing you will always get from a Melodic Rock release, it’s consistent quality with excellent production and excellent melodies. “Memories” by Michael Jessen is one of those albums that is not only diverse in the styles of music used but it meets the criteria needed for a Melodic Rock release, including excellent melodies, excellent songwriting, clear quality allowing you to hear everything without compromise, and of course, an excellent vocal performance. Looks like the Melodic Rock world just got some new competition in the form of Michael Jessen so be sure to keep your eyes on this one, as this guy has now been added to my list of Melodic Rock artists I like ..."www.metal-temple.com/site/catalogues/entry/reviews/cd_3/m_2/michael-jessen.htm

RATE: 9 / 10
" ...The music lovers Hard Rock 80's are in luck with the release of MEMORIES (Massacre Records), an album of young Danish guitarist MICHAEL JESSEN. This musician gets with his songs take us to the golden age of bands like Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Whitesnake or Europe, the Swedes are main influence of this musician who shows flavorings of his guitar master John Norum, who also collaborates in the CD with one prodigious, as we have come, in the fourth cut BLACKWATER. MEMORIES is a great debut, full of surprises, and that is that Jessen has not been enough to have gotten the masterful touch of Norum, but the singer of this large group of good songs is Göran Edman (ex - Yngwie Malmsteen) who also collaborated in the past with John Norum during her solo album "Total Control". Göran sings with so much soul and a powerful voice that makes it to high thrilling. Michael Jessen guitar sounds great and shares the spotlight with the magnificent voice of the singer, his solos are precise, very clean and full of strength.
The album begins with BROKEN HEART, one of my favorite, powerful rhythm with a very catchy chorus, it rises in intensity and has wonderful choirs, hallmark in all the work. It could be a song published in 86 of a band at the time, a perfect single that had occupied a privileged place in the charts at the time, in which the unforgettable rock bands shared foci with singers most pop bands and more decaffeinated. Followed MY OWN FUNERAL, maybe it's the song that sounds more current, a more modern rock, more content, and where the guitar is really strong. EVERYTHING COMES TO AN END, exceptional, we take a very melodic rock. And then BLACKWATER, great song, intense from the start, appears at this point the album Göran has delighted us with his extensive record voice, perfect for this style, the song has a wonderful chorus that pushes you beyond redemption, with its peak in the solo playing John Norum, exquisite and decorating mercilessly this great song. Probably the best on the album. And then comes the first ballad: THE ROSE, intimate, delicate, envelops, do not forget to listen. Someone able to compose so still has much talent show, reminds me the praised SCORPIONS and those slow songs that have always given us, this song could stay well between them The final guitar solo excited. RUNAWAY, and return to the fast pace, do not breathe, this song will not leave, Göran seems at times James Hetfield of METALLICA, amazing throughout the album, yes, listen and then give me reason. It follows PRISONERS, another impressive ballad, with a chorus that sounds perfect, rivaling THE ROSE, two issues that should be ringing in radios and exciting to the people. DREAMS DIE HARD, gaining prominence the drums, sounds really good, this is the party of more traditional melodic rock, at this point already hooked you sure, if you're a fan of the genre. LOST IN LA, we slow down, slow but more song spinning around her a very good melody accompanied again by Jessen guitar technique combining their good feelings that conveys in his songs. And we finished the album FREEFALL, instrumental song that has flashes of his hero Norum the style SHIMMERING HIGHS Norwegian, disturbing, deeply felt, and that puts a change very interesting song.
Excellent album of Michael Jessen, comprehensive loaded cane and very well played riffs, with beautiful melodies and wonderful nuances worked for the fabulous voice of Göran Edman. We must follow closely in the future, it is certainly very promising ... "
