What do you guys think about the special VIP packages (including meet and greet etc) that will be on sale at the local venues' ticket offices? Would you pay extra to meet our guys? Personally I think it would take the fun out of meeting them. If the spontaneity is gone, the fun is gone, too. But what are your opinions on this? For my sake, I'm not against this kind of thing (since it's not 500€ to be paid, as it may happen in USA !!! Then, it's shoking, because only rich people can afford it... But I've seen some meet and greet with a reasonalble price that everyone can pay.). Of course, it's not spontaneous at all. But I'm rather sure that for the band, it's less uncomfortable than to meet fans in an unexpected way while they are travelling, or having lunch, or simply walking in the street... In fact, during a meet and greet, the stars are completely ready to speak with fans : they have agreed with it -even if they find it boring ! But when you just meet them by chance in an hotel or in a train (as it happened to me with Norum), they can be disturbed when you come and speak to them. They can be tired, or shy, or they can need to be alone. But fans come and find natural to speak to tehm anyway... Of course, most of the time, the artists dare not say they are disturbed, because it could hurt the fans (Well, I remember that Norum told it clearly to me in the train, actually, but afterwards he seemed to feel so guilty that he came and hugged me, probably because he didn't want to annoy a fan !) So, a meet and greet, well organized, why not ? It may be the only way for many persons to talk to their favorite artists, ask them good questions, told them their feelings about the albums, etc... That's not more stupid, IMO, than waiting in front of a venue for asking an autograph or simply shake hands !!! Last thing is that when you pay for a meet and greet, you give money to your favorite band : which they deserve !

I just say this ... "monkeys in a cage" And of course you ALWAYS ask IF it is OK to talk with them when you meet them! You don't just run in front and disturb them! That would be just rued! Well if every other "bigger" band use this why not Europe! Let's take advantage of the crazy fans! And I am not surprised as they now have an American management! ^^

All your comments and opinions make sense ... it's clear that none of us are teenagers and this band doesn't promote "The fans phenomenon" but to me greet and say thank you in person to the band who gives us happy moments with their music is a nice gesture, and of course is necessary to put "logic and sense common" like everything in life ... unfortunately there must have been people who have done them feel "like caged monkeys" but certainly also have had beautiful experiences, why not?, probably yes, people who have shared with them how important is their music, and that gesture of shaking hands is also a nice moment for them ... I want to believe it. Anyway, ... the Europe Management thas posted in facebook news about "VIP PACKAGE WITH M & G"
Friends! We've already recieved a lot of questions regarding the VIP packages for the March UK dates and you will be informed in more detail as soon as possible. Important to know: The VIP package WILL NOT include a show ticket so please buy these the normal way through venue box office / ticket outlets, but you WILL NEED a concert ticket to purchase a VIP Package. One things is certain, we will try and keep the meet and greet packages interesting and fun for all involved. Keep checking europetheband.com and Europe FB for infromation. // Europe Management

I'm sorry, but I don't like this kind of meet & greet. It's something like "host pub" in Japan, pay the money to go into pubs to drink with some beautiful men. Of course I want to meet and talk with them, but I don't want to borrow the power of money. But the system is OK, when you get the chance, I really hope you enjoy it and share with us! I surely love their music and performances in live, I don't want more. I love Europe and this forum, being satisfied with them

heheheheh, I love M&G! But I think it is not fair when the price is too expensive. In 2012, I got a M&G from the management group, I remember it was a hard job for me to update the contest, say some contestants they had the wrong picture, becauase the rules were absolute clear. Even Europe's website informed about the contest (it was the only time I saw they "promoted" a fans page, so I was very proud). But when the contest finished and the winners were announced, I was exhausted! Then, the M&G session! It was scheduled before the show in Santiago. They looked "strange" to say it in a word...the time was too little (about 3 minutes!!!) because the producer had organized another M&G through a radio station, so the winners of my contest plus the other winners: about 30 people! A mess! However, the winners of my contest were happy, most of them never had the opportunity to see them face to face, and they were all there, except Norum. I'd organize a M&G again, of course! It is a great experience to share with another fans so crazy as any of us, hehehhe. But I think it must be free of charge, winners chosen through a contest or at random..but no by paying money.
