It is striking how a classic band like EUROPE to which was very difficult to see past now usually comes about once a year. And I mean that in the best sense it is always a joy for the senses excited and vibrate with one of the best live a classical group can give.
Openly, without hiding anything, every time that visit to us the Swedish band kicks gallons and unlike many formations of the time, they keep the type and how. Care were both physically and on what is important, musically, and it shows.
Always note and yesterday, at the beginning of its path of three Spanish cities as well say Tempest "The Riviera again" be home again. Direct, seamless, powerful sounding in many times and more melodic and sweet reminiscing.
So of gauging the room had a good number of followers without being full, and this right from the opening act, a great Jorge Salán that so hours, we could see that in the final version with Gary Moore. Much public and to wait EUROPE than "naked" show and tell because in assembly remain very poor, with only the accompanying band logo along the stage and match your battery.
No matter when they know people take their undivided attention and pulling songs like "Firebox" and their classic "Superstitious" while improving the sound. The Riviera has never been room for great shows in that area but as its direct EUROPE always manages to bring out the best in the field, making already with "Scream of Anger" and "No Stone unturned" thing take color.
Good feeling one feels watching them, Joey and John Norum yet studied all the time posing for photographers and smiling distilling good atmosphere and making the quintet sounds as could be outfitted.
White mic stand as elegant as the voice of Joey Tempestt who returned to give a recital, carefully, very high making it clear to other major down-at the time, and all moving from one side to the other without stopping in songs like "New Love in town "and" Stormwind ". His acolytes delivered, and the magical essence involving the old themes with new give a mature and striking scale formation.
As I said, poor scenario, rich sound, Norum demonstrating his technique on a guitar solo, Tempest in Castilian and filling hearts with his legendary "Carrie", where the screams of the ladies tapaban any guttural male voice. Magic.
"Love is not the enemy" reviews his latest moments, and that's where EUROPE becomes melodic eighties band sound to a cyclone, causing you to have doubts that made them the Final Countdown because the Swedes really have a vein of rock blunt impressive as the "bestial" "The Beast" without any complex Joey screams across the top and training positions and apparent loudness fully heavies.
As would otherwise not be its final stretch raised the bar with "Dance the night away" and "Rock the night" whose reception was again spectacular, with the whole audience singing and shouting, leaving the feeling of other times, the room to a classic band grown, both in their current issues, super-hard in the eighties in its final form hard "Last look at eden" and magical and nostalgic "The final countdown" where everyone wins.
And so, gentlemen, EUROPE Madrid win again with a recital of vocal and instrumental that could note the eighties some little dinosaurs scene voice and poor care.
