"Heart of stone" has become one of my favorites EUROPE songs. But it was not true at the beginning ! In fact, I began to enjoy this song when I heard it played by NORUM with another band : The different rythm, faster, aroused my interest. But that's EUROPE version I prefer actually, because it's always richer, whenever the era. I like the version of Vina del mar 1990: Although this one of 1987 is fantastic too (faster than Vina del mar): But my very favorite is this one of 2004, during a soundcheck : A bit different here in 2012:

I like this version ( Europe live in Gothenburg 1989) especially the first solo ( amazing intro like in Viña del Mar ) part and the main solo because this time kee marcello played almost exactly the same guitar solo as on the TFC album ( the highest notes ).

I didn't know this one. I agree with you concerning the solos : amazing ! Interesting video, because it's SOOO different from the 1987 version. The tempo has nothing to do with the other ones. Can't we deduce of this, that this song "heart of stone" is among the ones that have the highest number of different versions ?

I really enjoyed listening to the song in different periods. I also love this song, with "Ninja" are my two favorite songs of the "lesser known group" from the album "TFC". My favorite version is London in 1987, ... Fast and with an amazing Joey .

This version is also amazing, MY favorite version of the song:
John Norum Live 1988 with Göran Edman (and of course Marcel Jacob on bass guitar)
