I am hoping it will be something really heavy. Fat, meaty riffs and a bass line that makes your heart burst. Long gone are the days of cock rock. I think a heavier album is the way forward

I think a heavier album is the way forward "...the days of cock rock ..." Funny definition , I have to admit that sure there are a group of songs of that time that I like a lot, anyway, I'm not good to label the albums or eras of the band but I think the new band of John and Mic NORDIC BEAST is more hard rock oriented, and probably EUROPE follow evocating "the seventies" with a more classic rock, as I read in a comment from Wm JN, who defined it very well , but let's see ... !

I think that it's realistic expecting the new album for the next fall. It's not the countdown yet but I can see some light at the end of my tunnel of abstinence

Concerning the oriention of the new album, I think it depends a lot of which people EUROPE meet. When BOB was out, it was the time when they met and played with Joe Bonamassa, for instance. They decided to make a more blues-oriented album. And as it worked well in the studio with Mr "Caveman", they talked about going more and more in this way for their next album... But in the mean time, EUROPE played with Def Leppard and whitesnake, and in several hard rock festivals. And they probably found it cool to go back to their hard rock roots...
They have the right to change their mind, after all. Creativity has a lot to do with the people and other artists you're meeting.

Hahahaha! I am confident that whatever it is, it's gonna be a blast! So happy they're pushing different things at the beginning of this 2014, as they stated multiple times that they don't like to repeat themselves... This means they are so alive and thinking and ... creating new stuff!!! Can't wait! GO, Europe!

German magazine Rock Hard mentions in its February issue that Europe are working on their new album and that even former members Tony Reno and Kee Marcello might perhaps be on board.
They are not saying this is certain, but I'm wondering why they are speculating about this ...

They are not saying this is certain, but I'm wondering why they are speculating about this ... Interesting info , but John Norum and Kee Marcello playing in the same EUROPE's album ... ! It would certainly be the story of the year ... ! I think probably the magazine has been led to observe that both Tony and Kee participated in the auction of the guitars, and perhaps have thought it would be a kind of reunion. Well I do not know, is a possibility . Let's see what happens?
