German magazine Rock Hard mentions in its February issue that Europe are working on their new album and that even former members Tony Reno and Kee Marcello might perhaps be on board. They are not saying this is certain, but I'm wondering why they are speculating about this ... Interesting info , but John Norum and Kee Marcello playing in the same EUROPE's album ... ! It would certainly be the story of the year ... ! I think probably the magazine has been led to observe that both Tony and Kee participated in the auction of the guitars, and perhaps have thought it would be a kind of reunion. Well I do not know, is a possibility . Let's see what happens? That's a fact : we, EUROPE fans, are very gifted in making tremendous speculations !! When I read this thread again, I notice our infos were sometimes slicy eccentric... However, now there's geat and confirmed news : Mic and JTempest working on some melodies, as posted by Mr Tempest himself on EUROPE official facebook: "Just finished up a jamming/writing session with Mic in Stockholm. We've written some great tunes together over the years! Forever Travelling, Devil Sings the Blues, Firebox, Carrie, New Love in Town and Bring it all Home, to mention a few. When we hook up for a session I usually play drums and sing and Mic plays the keyboard and we just let it rip loud through the PA and we record it all. We then work out the details of the ideas (songs) later. The whole band will soon be meeting up for jamming/writing sessions and I've already got some great ideas sent to me by Leven and Norum. We're planning on going into the studio to record Europe No. 10 in October. Keep visiting this page and we'll post more info about recording and touring 2014/ 2015 the next coming months. Thanks for your support, friends. We couldn't do this without you. " This " jamming/writing session with Mic sounds very sweet to my ears ! . It could mean some fabulous melodies in the next album. Maybe some excellent lyrics ? Well, this EUROPE album n°10 could be a gem... (yes, I know... one more speculation... , but hey, I'm a EUROPE fan ; when someone tells me that the duet Tempest and Michaeli is working on songs, I'm waiting for the very best !!!)

Vonnyloveseurope posted this interesting new on another thread: "We want to record the next album in the autumn in a residential studio somewhere, shortly after the Steelhouse Festival, and then release it next year, backed up by more touring. I don't think we're going to dive any deeper into blues and soul with this one. We like the influences we have, so it will be more in the style of 'Last Look At Eden', which we were very happy with, but with a nod to 'Bag Of Bones'. We will just go back to our original influences – bands like Whitesnake, and guitarists like Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody – hard rock, with a touch of blues. We've got new management and we're in the process of planning everything right now. In 2016, we've got the 30th anniversary of 'The Final Countdown', so naturally we'll be doing some stuff around that. I can tell you that there's lots to come and it's gonna be a crazy few years!" Taken from www.uberrock.co.uk/interviews/55-april-interviews/11112-joey-tempest-europe-uber-rock-interview-exclusive.htmlSo, in last april, their intention was to do a kind of LLAE-bis. Not surprising, as it was probably their best-seller album since the reunion. when i read the short quote of Vonny about "original influences", I thought they were speaking about themselves in the 80s, and not in 2010 !

A few months ago Joey left a message on Facebook where he spoke of the new album of the band in 2014, just saying ... "... We'll be going into the studio again to record beginning of 2014 Europe No: 10. Hey! ...... It's a big deal for us! Ten albums. WOW! ...! Perhaps they should call it "WOW AND TEN"

Hm we have to wait about 6-7 month to get our hands on the new album! Do you think that the UK tour will be part of the promoting tour for the new album? I hope so, at least we have a deadline.

Yes it is. It's been said that they are going to play oldies and some new songs from up coming album. And Norum said to me that they'r going to have the new album ready in end of february.
