Well, there isn't so many live recorded Europe concerts, so the choice shouldn't be too hard... And generally, we like all Europe shows. However, do you have a very favorite one ? The one that is a kind of reference from your point of view ? The one that you immediately show to someone who doesn't know Europe ? In this thread, the word "recorded" means official DVD and videos, but also full concerts that you can find on youtube.

Because in fact it is ! I love so much the "live unplugged at Nalen" ! So special ! And Live from the dark, the show that made me love Europe... But well, right now, this is that one That I'll choose as a Reference Show : Vina del mar 1990. Although it's the "old" Europe and I prefer the nowadays Europe, and in spite the fact that Norum wasn't there, this concert is nearly perfect IMO. One of the highlights was this song, Heart of stone :

Another of my favorite recorded (or broadcasted) shows was the one added on his channel by our friend europecod :
The Europe show in st petersburg, in 2005.
So great ! Even better than the one they made for the "live from the dark" DVD.

I really like the concert of the DVD "Live from the Dark", it was recorded at London in the "Hammersmith Apollo" in 2004...
It had to be an exciting time for the band because they were showing their first album of their return and the band has a special freshness. The DVD has two discs, one of them is filled with comments from members of the band, it's great, I hope we have something similar in the next one.

It's gonna be a top 3 from me: 1. Solna 86 2. Lorca Rock 2004 bootleg 3. London 2004 Live From The Dark But I'm pretty sure that I will have a new favourite by oct 16th

My heart stays with the three concerts that made me discover Europe a couple of years ago (veeeery late, I know ): - Stockholm 1986 (the DVD for the 25th anniversary) - Hammersmith 1987? (I don't remember the year right now if '86 or '87, but it was the TFC tour of course) - Vina del Mar 1990 Then I have to add two very dear ones for me: - Rock of Ages 2012, but I have not found this one fully recorded... - Barcelona 2013, there is a very high quality recording from an italian friend of mine, Luca Ravoni. This is so special 'cause the concert was at their absolute TOP and I've had breakfast on the morning after with Mr.Tempest in person... YES! I don't remember what I have eaten, so please don't ask, but I remember exactly what he has eaten: milk, cornflakes and slices of oranges...btw, he took all the cornflakes before me, leaving me without, but I have excused him all the same for this! But if I have to decide about just 1 concert, THE concert to keep... that is Hammersmith 1987. Pure perfection. Those young guys were rocking so great and still they were almost "naive" in that rock 'n roll world. In spite of a huge experience on the road already, they had the fresh and innocent approach, with that touch of research for perfection that made me love them forever.
