Hi everyone!! Sorry I couldn't make it for group E. I had problems with the internet conection andy74 : Oh, I see now why there wasn't any tie-break for this group E ! Supertitious - I love it, it has keyboards, choruses, a great power, but I link to the USA period of the band that is not one of my favourites and that anticipated their long stop. Besides, when I heard it the first time I thought 'No, why did they use a fanfare too? Why must they recall TFC in every way?' (I know, Ent will hate me for these words! Maybe Lady Guesswho-the-pest has found a sister twin! ) vicky : He he he ! welcome to that club, then ! The club of "the Ladies-Pest" ! In fact, as Julius Caesar (no need for history lesson here) once said: “No one is so brave that he is not disturbed by something unexpected”. ent : AVE Ent Caesar! For the first time in this thread, if this group seems difficult to me, it's not because there's too much choice, but at the contrary because not many songs are among my very very favorites here. - Ready or notand - Doghouseare 2 great and never-tiring songs IMO, and therefore my 2 first votes. but then, what ? - A mother's son is beautiful but so sad. It'll be my 3rd choice, however. 4th : - Demon head (because finally, I prefer to choose a nowadays song...)

Thank you, Guesswho, and I bet the club of the ladies-pest will grow! P.S.: I see the 'number of guests' in the last 24 hours is 366 people, this forum has an enlarging number of readers then!

Here's my choice : Start from The Dark Ready Or Not Words Of Wisdom (Yes GuessWho, a baby Europe song with very nice sounds of guitars ) Mother's Son

My vote: - Start from the dark: Said you were ordinary, would not amount to much. I guess they never knew you; you found the place they couldn’t touch- Hero: It's not like I live my days by every word you spoke, Like I'm up every night drinking with your ghost- Ready or not: Rock me like you've never done before, then rock me just a little more- A mother´s son: There's a light, a different kind of light when we close, we close our eyes (this one in particular is probably the best line ever written by JT. A poem in 16 words. )

Hello, here is my choice: Start from the Dark - the chorus seems to recall the atmosphere of Seven Doors Hotel. They were back. Great. Ready or Not - not a great lyric IMO but a sparkling song, where everything is balanced, rich but not exceedingly. Words of Wisdom - like andy74 said, 'I'll stick to my old and deeper feelings!' Hero - what a lyric, what a rhythm... I hear it and I can't help singing! What will I leave out? Prisoners in Paradise - guesswho?, do you think we may define it a 'teenage Europe song'? I love it, but it is maybe a bit too pompous, containing too much of everything: piano, strong guitar riffs, stop-and-go rhythm, choruses... A mother's son - it's strange to me, it's beautiful but too sad (I agree with guesswho?!) so I seldom listen to it. I feel the words of the refrain are so sentimental to become a bit kitsch (sorry... ). But the rest of the lyric is poetry (JT, we love you! ) Doghouse and Demon Head are beautiful but they couldn't catch my soul yet: maybe in the future...

Here's my choice : Start from The Dark Ready Or Not Words Of Wisdom ( Yes GuessWho, a baby Europe song with very nice sounds of guitars ) Mother's Son Sorry Sahiyela Osiceca ! Finally I've changed my mind : I vote for Demon Head !Hello, What will I leave out? I don't know if it's a "teenage europe song", vicky -but logically, if words of wisdom is a baby song, then it should be true! In fact, I love this song in its unplugged and quiet version : amazing IMO ! But I don't like at all the original album version : too commercial. Well, I must face the truth : I'm a mature woman ; therefore, I change my mind and choose "Demon head" instead of "words of wisdom" So ent , beware,I've changed my mind finally ! My last choice for the 4th song is : - Demon Head(instead of "Words of wisdom"), Because I like the music, even if the lyrics are not very interesting. and I want to support actual songs more than old ones : I'm a fan of nowadays EUROPE, definitely. So I vote for : -Doghouse -Ready or not -Mother's son -Demon Head.

Good night girls and boys . The time to vote for the songs of Group F is now expired. It has been a great session full of pathos and twists until the very last moment. As always, I’d like to thank you all for your dedication. I hope that you’re enjoying as much as I am. So, with Tone Irene’s vote included as well as Guesswho’s last minute change, here’s the result of Group F: Start from the dark: 10 Ready or not: 10 A mother’s son: 7 Hero: 7 Words of wisdom: 6 Doghouse: 5 Prisoners in Paradise: 4 Demon Head: 3The first four songs won the group and I’m very satisfied with this result . I will miss prisoners and words of wisdom especially, but I really think that the winning songs have something more. I couldn’t explain what is it since it has nothing to do with reason. And as Charles Darwin (a man very fond of “natural selection” that I bet would have loved playing with us) once said: “the very essence of instinct is that it’s followed independently of reason”! Let’s move on Group G Girl from Lebanon The beast Yesterday's news Paradize Bay Sign of the times Prelude + Last look at Eden Wasted time Seventh sign
This time there are two songs from LLAE contesting with six songs from the past. For me this group is not very challenging and I have already a clear idea of what my election would be...but I’ve learned that there is nothing granted in this game so let’s see what comes . The rules: 1. It´s not important if you are a new forum member or an “old” one, it does not matter how many post you have previously posted, and we don´t care if you have never voted in the previous phases or if you intend to vote only once or twice. Each and every registered forum user is invited to cast his/her vote (if you are not registered you can do it now, it´s easy, free, and funny!). 2. Vote your FOUR favourite tracks among the songs listed in the Group G. The session will close next Sunday September the 15th at 22.00. I know that it’s a full week-end and hope everybody will be able to cast the vote. Anyway, if any of you would be offline and still wants to deliver his/her vote, I’m available to collect it via PM and I’ll provide to post it in due time. Remember that this game is mainly an opportunity to discuss about Europe music so feel free to post your comments. Only two groups left before ending Phase III, support your songs! There won’t be another opportunity!
