A few days ago has died Storm Thorgerson, the artist who designed the cover of Secret Society,
he was well known in the rock world because he worked with great bands like Pink Floyd, Lep Zeppelin,
Scorpions, Genesis and of course Europe ... for me the cover of SS isn't the best of the band, maybe
seeks to innovate but fails to thrill (in my opinion)
My favorite is "Bag of Bones", ... has a beautiful aesthetic, my second choice "Wings of Tomorrow"
and finally "The Final Countdown" ...

So cool, Tomorrow!
I voted:
- Wings Of Tomorrow, of course, because I've always loved that powerfull eagle. I'd love it for print a sleeveless shirt but I have never found a good quality image.
- Secret Society, because of the disturbing and breaking concept.
- Bag Of Bones, with that baroque style, so elegant.
I also like the phantasmogoric warrior of Prisioners but I had to choose.
On the other side, I've always thought that OOTW is horrible, it says nothing, is ugly. A very bad election. And both of TFC... the one with the photo is so dull but the one with the pictures flying... can't be more kitsch.

i voted for the first 3 albums  ... i also like the artworks of BOB, SS and PIP. i can't stand the design of OOTW - it feels exactly as un-natural as the whole sound recording of that album.  |

So far, we can draw some conclusions: - We love the eagle of WINGS OF TOMORROW ... closely followed by the beautiful cover of BAG OF BONES and the exotic cover of EUROPE. - We don't like too much the cover with the guys in blue of OUT OF THIS WORLD, and the apple of LAST LOOK AT EDEN (Well, still not clear if it's an apple or not) John Leven said about this issue that people have a "dirty mind" and is just an apple but  ... |

When I saw the thread title, I was immediately thinking about cover-versions i.e songs lol. Now I see what the topic is actually about ))
Well, I have always been inclined towards the more artistic covers, and agree with many about the WOT cover. I always liked that one. I am not a fan of the LLAE cover. But in all honesty, I think the BOB artwork is possibly my favourite by a whisker over WOT.

I've voted for WOT and BOB. BOB is an interesting cover. but WOT is an EMBLEMATIC cover. Althoought it's a bit naive, iMO it's the one symbolizing the most Europe. ...But in fact my most favorite Europe cover ever is the one of the book "live look at eden" !    Everything is there : the colors (notice they are very close to WOT and BOB!), the photo of the band (full of energy!), and the little dose of weirdness. A masterpiece ! |
