Ohh, I'm in postconcerts depression
, double in my case, because of Bruce (
Eva Tomorrow, cool idea, I'll tell a little about my BS & TSEB but I must contro myself, first because when I begin to talk about this guy I cant stop and secondlly because he played 3 & 1/2 hours, a lot to tell...) and because of Europe.
For me it's been sad not being able to go to the gig in my city, Madrid, the more sucessfull of this great tour in Spain but... 365 days by year and it's has to be the same day that Bruce's one in Gijón....So I had to choose Santiago. Anyway I'm very pleased of reading that the whole Spanish tour of this three hard rock legend's been ok.
The audience audience was about 3.500 people. Even the main band was meant to be Leppard, by tshirts you could tell that the star of the evening was mr. Coverdale (for sure, what a man, he's magnetic!).
I took, a fine place in 1,5/2th row, in front of the catwalk, since I knew that Joey and Mr. Coverdale like to go there and so it was. Here's my a little trivial and frivolous comment: Joey's look is much better that in pictures o screen, he is really awesome (not the same with Mr. Coverdale, who is aged, but WTHF?? David has that powerfull sex appeal that you cant stop looking at him)
Our guys went out at 19.00 as usual, with
Reaches To Rags-Firebox, maybe not so well known by the audience but strongly singed in the first rows. Joey moves and manages as the leader, the stage beast he is with a great voice state. The rest of the buddys maybe too many hiden.
After that
Superstitious Scream Of Anger (so heavy in all its good meaning...!!!) and with this one they've already conquered the place. First push in my heart
Girl From The Lebanon wiht a great intro by John N. You would never tell that it was writter by another guy.
Let The Good Times Rock, a party, with Joey playing with audience and the legendary mic stand.
People gets crazy with Carrie (ummmm it's what it's
), and at one point Joey announced that they were going to play something they hadn't done for a long time... my head start rushing "
Ready Or Not!, Ready Or Not!" (no girl, the surprises-guy is Springsteen
) . Ok I would prefered
Paradize Bay, but John has his chance to bright with
Seven Sings's start. And after that the final set, whit
Rock The Night (everyone jumping),
Last Look and the end with
The Final Countdown, the party.
After a great Whitesnake show (this is being so long, so I wont tell that, only say David Coverdale, what a man and what a group, even the voice is not that one from before), the cherry on the cake: David Coverdale attacks their last song, that jewell callled
Still Of The Night and announces John Norum as his special guest and friend. So cool!!! But on the wing of the stage we could see Joey... he was "r
eady and willing" and after the bridge there he was, with the bright micro stand and making that wonderfull song with that wonderfull man by his side.... oh my god, so brilliant voices!!!
You know, all of us have seen that youtube in wich Joey joined Coverdale some years ago to make that song but it had a poor quality, and now it was happening in front of my eyes. Amazing!
At the end, is been worthy watching the Santiago's show. Maybe the fate wanted me to see that moment!!!
