Heart of Stone (from the official Europe channel): Heart of Stone (a bit longer clip): I love the new live tuning for this song! When they played it in 2004-05, the tuning was a bit too low. Do you think Joey's vocals have improved on these last few dates? He seems to be nailing parts better this time around. Also Stein, is HoS in a different tuning to the 2004 SFtD dvd?

On the Live from the Dark DVD, "Heart of Stone" was played in C# tuning (one and a half step lower than standard tuning). On the Nonantola gig, it was played in D# tuning (a half step lower than standard).

I wonder if Joey watched some vids of the previous years shows on YouTube and saw how bad he sounded and has adjusted his singing accordingly as I must say the last few shows have been really good, a huge improvement in his vocal range and ability to keep it in range.

I have not seen Europe live in the past years, but I can assure you that JT is in a very good shape today, both with voice and physical performance. Again I don't have much experience, but IMO there are not so many bands that can keep such a rhythm during their shows. The show is not the longest in the world, but very high quality. Their presence on stage is impressive. Keeping such a voice while jumping is something very difficult to achieve! Joey is very relaxed also during the show, very natural, just as if they are having a lot of fun.

Here is my visual experience in Nonantola... I still have much to learn with my new handycam, I'd say I prefer the old one, if not for being 10 times bigger than the new one! It gets saturated with all the rainbow colors and still I can't control the out of focus during zoom in zoom out. Any suggestion? After "Heart of Stone" I've had to leave my spot in the second row because one of my daughters was feeling sick in the crowd. But anyway it's such a great memory that I wanted to share all the same! Rock on, EUROPE!
