My name is Tadi, I'm from Germany and working as sales manager. I've been a Europe fan ever since I first saw the video of "The Final Countdown" in september 1986, when I was 14 years old. Since this time Europe is my alltime favourite band and own all albums, some as CD and Vinyl, some singles, also some solo-stuff. I am also listening to many other bands in the genres, power metal/melodic metal, even thrash or death if it is melodic and also other hardrock-bands.
My favorite Europe albums: Wings of Tomorrow, Out of this World, Start from the Dark
My favorite Europe song: The Final Countdown
I've been to eleven Europe concerts, the most in Germany: 04.02.1989 - Würzburg, Carl-Diem-Halle 06.02.1992 - Fürth, Stadthalle 30.05.1995 - München, Tilt (Joey Tempest, solo) 29.10.2004 - Nürnberg - Löwensaal 31.10.2004 - Stuttgart - Longhorn LKA 27.01.2007 - Innsbruck (A)- Hafen 02.02.2007 - Stuttgarn - Longorn LKA 03.02.2007 - München - Backstage Werk 04.02.2007 - Nürnberg - Hirsch 30.06.2007 - Nijmegen (NL), Goffertpark 22.11.2009 - Fürth - Stadthalle 21.10.2012 - Mannheim - Alte Seilerei
I never had the luck to meet a band member, but i hope to in the future!

Hi all! I am new here, but was a member (though not regular poster) at the old forum too so could be that one or another of you remember me from there I'm Marianne, originally from Austria but lived in the UK for a many years. Last year I ended up fulfilling an old childhood dream of mine by moving to Sweden (Gothenburg) with my job at an e-commerce company, and still love it here nearly a year later I've been a fan for almost as long as I can remember, TFC was my first self-"bought" record at the age of 12 (or to be more precise, I begged and my dad got it for me), and the OOTW tour my first ever concert I've been to see them play live another 10 times since then, always a great experience! Nice to meet you all!

Hello! My name is Tom and I'm from Sweden. I haven't been on here at all since I signed up unfortunately, but some of you may remember me from back when Europe had an official forum. I also met some of you at a concert back then.
I made the small animated band member portraits you may find in the list of emotes here during that time. And regarding that, I'd like to apologize to Stein for not responding to his e-mails regarding the creation of former band members.
A short update about me: I've since spent a few years studying archaeology and I'm currently planning to apply for a 3D graphics education.

Welcome back, Tom! And don't worry about the emotes. Take the time you need.

Hi. My name is Tiffani Jewel Morello, and I'm from Santa Cruz, California. I love horses, going to the beach, and of course...Europe!! I grew up in the 80's and Europe was my favorite band. I was so excited to see that they are still around and going strong!! I have been following them for a while now, but this is the first time I have joined a forum. Maybe one day I'll get lucky, and they will tour America again. I saw them as an opener back in the 80's. It's not a day I'll soon forget. Cheers!!

Thanks, Stein!! I imagine you have seen your share of the band live. I grew up in Los Angeles and got to see a lot of cool bands come through. Europe has morphed a lot since I first heard them. They sound great! So glad they stayed together and are virtually the same band! With the exception of the guitarist, they are all the same members, and yet John was the original guitarist anyway! I wonder if that is a record for bands. Same members for 30 years. lol

Thanks, Stein!! I imagine you have seen your share of the band live. I grew up in Los Angeles and got to see a lot of cool bands come through. Yeah, I've been to seven concerts in Norway and two in Sweden. The best concert would probably have to be the latest one, in Stockholm when they played the whole Wings of Tomorrow album live. But of course Sweden Rock Festival 2013 and the first concert of the reunion tour in Norway 2004 are big highlights as well. Europe has morphed a lot since I first heard them. They sound great! So glad they stayed together and are virtually the same band! With the exception of the guitarist, they are all the same members, and yet John was the original guitarist anyway! I wonder if that is a record for bands. Same members for 30 years. lol Well, they did have a break from 1992 to 2003. So if we put the first era for this lineup (1984-86, two years) together with the reunion era (2003-present, 11 years) it will be 13 years. It's still quite impressive that they've still got the classic lineup intact! Lots of other bands that started out or broke through in the 80s only have one or two original/classic members left.
