@ Michaela, your comments always get me excited and make me believe in the magic , I really love hearing you... My English is not good (as you know) but I understood that someone (a woman of the band equipment) at a concert gave you the guitar pick of Joey in hand ... is ok? OMG ! I love it ... @ Ent, for a few seconds you have made me doubt (hahahaha ... ) I thought you were one of our "heros" !!! But then I came to my mind what a great master of ceremony you were at the virtual party "save the forum official " and I thought:" Eva, can not be "... would be a very elaborate plan to hide his real identity ...

My thoughts exactly, Ent! Of course they want to know what's going on, what's being said. Who knows, eh? If I were a member of the band I would check out this forum. More, if I were a member of the band I would join this forum and discuss with the fans without letting them know who I am. It'd be quite weird!

Whoa, wait a minute. I know you said that Joey sent someone over to get you to stop filming. This girl that came with the guitar pick...did Joey send her over to you too -- a reward for stopping the filming? That's what it seems like to me...I wonder, Michaela....that's very interesting...hmm...and of course, it probably helped that he met you in Milan. Yes, I think Europe is quite aware of those who are more noticable, like Stein, Rodrigo, you, Tomorrow, Guesswho and the others. I think with them being on FB, too, they are watching and learning about new faces that they might not have seen yet at concerts or have seen at concerts but may not have met them face-to-face. I know, just in my experience of seeing and chatting more with other fans within the last few months, I'm able to place names with faces that I've seen in fan photos or from the audience on their DVDs. It's quite a kick, actually. ...this girl gave me Joey's guitar pick in my hands - you could recognize it was used also - what would you think? Oh please, let me dream, even if I know I may look very pretentious here!

I didn't expect Joey to answer my letter, for sure. And I have always thought that one of the main reasons for them to close the official forum was the "obligation" they had to read it. Because "official" meant their image could benefit but also be damaged by what was running on over there. And they have learnt since a long time not to leave this only in the hands of management, no matter how good it is now. It was probably a matter of time to be spent to check it out. Nevertheless, do you really think that now they are flying blind? I don't think so. While I share your point of view about the reasons that led to the forum closure, I still don't understand why they simply didn't explained it. This is the most hurting side of the matter in my view. It made us feel guilty of something without knowing what it was. But I don't want to start it all over again so just ignore this comment. Anyway, as you perfectly show, the best way to keep in touch with the band is going out there, on the road. I hope that my turn will come soon.

@eva -- LOL...how would we ever know? Some of the guys might be playful enough to do something like that. Wouldn't that be nice? hahaha! And that's the collateral damage. Now we will all look suspiciously to each other like in an Agatha Christie's novel. I wonder...could he (or her, why not) be one of them...mmh...(suspance music) .

My English is not good (as you know) but I understood that someone (a woman of the band equipment) at a concert gave you the guitar pick of Joey in hand ... is ok? OMG ! I love it ... Metalsvenskan - May 25th, 2012. There were two or three girls from the beginning of the concert on the rear part of the stage. They were all dressed alike, probably they belonged to the staff of the venue, I don't think any female member is present in Europe The Crew. During the break, just before Last Look At Eden, one of these girls came to us and gave in the hands of my daughter the setlist. But I was wondering what it was, it looked just like a plain sheet of paper to me. Then she made a sign to me like saying "check out what's written here". Do you know what my first (very guilty) thought was? Ok, here we go. They asked me to stop filming, now they must have written something here telling me to give them the tape or the disk or the memory (I have a very old Sony handycam, still using tapes)... When the light came on stage again I could finally read what was written there. The girl was still with us, waiting for a reaction from us. "Love from Haugland". Finally I realized it was the setlist, signed by Ian! I thanked the girl so much and I went through Last Look At Eden so moved by all this (and my fear of having to give them the tape disappeared)! I was so relieved and happy that I kept the setlist very visible so that Ian could see we got it and we so appreciated it! Last Look At Eden ends and Joey stops playing guitar because only TFC remains and he uses to play ehm...the mic stand instead with that one! During the intro of TFC, another girl comes straight to me and she puts a guitar pick in my hands: there's the E on it and "Joey Tempest" is written on it. Even better than if he had thrown it, with the risk to miss it... I couldn't believe my luck! So... dealing with magic ? ...or drunken honesty? maybe this is just MY demon head but hey,... just a man! and so very human!

That's what it seems like to me...I wonder, Michaela....that's very interesting...hmm...and of course, it probably helped that he met you in Milan. I didn't realize during the concert it was Joey. I thought it was one of the Crew taking his own initiative (of course based on directions they have) and telling me - very politely I must say - that I couldn't film. It was Tony. Now I recognize him among the members of Europe the Crew and someone on FB alerted me that he had been sent by Joey. If you look at my video (at the end of Seventh Sign), you can clearly see that Joey made a sign with the head to Tony and Tony walked down the stage...I realized all this only when I watched the video at home. Then this girl came with the setlist signed by Ian and another one gave me Joey's guitar pick. After Milan, I don't think I can hide anymore...it helped for sure, but even just by the name, I think that they can get to know their most frequent fans. During the two concerts I attended in May, I saw so many faces that I knew from the Internet! It's like a large family you know and I really bet that also Europe can tell - with quite a good approximation - who we are. They are spending time on Internet right now, see John Leven for instance, he is sharing a lot of videos and music from other bands. After a while that you use these tools, you become quicker and more expert in understanding all the links and to associate the name of a person on youtube with the proper person on FB or on this forum as well... The real advantage of this forum is that it's an international one (intercontinental - I should say) and it's the main one Europe the Band can easily access and understand. Then there are all the local realities, I got very close to some italians fans, belonging to the italian fan club, and I can assure you that Joey and John in Milan demonstrated to know very well many people there as well!

I really hope to have the opportunity to meet you very soon out there, ent! I will speak italian, I promise Let me know if you will join any of the italian dates, I'll attend Nonantola and Bassano.
