Interview with Ian for Sound of Spitfire radio 8/8/23

Ian Haugland was asked about the setlist of the upcoming Time Capsule tour of Europe, and 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙙𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙨𝙚𝙩𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩.
First thing, they asked their own Manager (a fan of Europe since the very beginning) to write down “his own dream setlist”. This should provide a bit of that “external, yet knowledgeable point of view”, so that it’s not all up to the Band.
I am sure they considered the preferences of the fans with all the polls done over the past months on their social media pages too.
Ian says that 𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙛𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙤𝙤 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣, the big hits for sure are all there, 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙧 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙗𝙚 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙮, if they realize that some adjustment is needed. Overall, they worked a little bit different from the usual way.
Adam Parsons - so we know who to blame… or to bless in case! 😁 Adam has been very successful in his proposal for the Final Countdown 30th Anniversary Tour - in that case if I remember correct, it was him who first proposed to play TFC album and War Of Kings album in their entirety, which proved to be very effective and powerful!
