"In addition, we are finishing up work on a brand new documentary film with producer / director Craig Hooper (Deep Purple / Saxon) for Coolhead Productions simply entitled EUROPE – THE MOVIE. The film will tell the story of the band, from formation until present day, telling of our rise to success in the mid 80’s, through hard times and heartache to coming back in the millennium and the current successes we have achieved. This is set for release in early 2024." |

Too bad Bon Jovi also releases a docu in the same year. Everywhere you see and hear about it being premiered. I'm afraid if Europe decides to drop it before summer it will be overshadowed by the Bon Jovi film. And that would be a real shame considering all the hard work and effort that the band and everyone involved put into it. We Europe fans don't like it but that's the way the cards are on the table.

From recent interviews and also from Joey talking to the fans in Japan and Taiwan during their Tour at the beginning of February, it comes out that they have still work in progress - editing and cutting so to get a proper length for it. My personal opinion about Bon Jovi's release and such, is that Europe certainly are also going to take this into account. I thought of it too when I've heard about Bon Jovi. Likely all events will flow quite spontaneously and naturally, without overlapping too much.  |

The most recent news I have heard about this documentary came courtesy of michaeljessen back in June: About the documentary: They still need to film one interview, so neither Norum or Leven knew when it would be finished. The big breaking news was that they told Mr Thomas Erdtman is gonna be in it!! It's going to be really interesting to see what he has to say. |
