If he was a guy with class, he would just say that Norum plays it his way, that he and the band have moved on, and then nothing more. This makes him look like an idiot. And I'm sorry about this, cause his playing on those 2 albums was phenomenal ! And he keeps talking about being on the charts everywhere....WHERE  Cause I never ever hear or read about him anywhere but a few swedish music sites. |

I mean Kee solos for Ninja or Wings of tomorrow (1987) were awful compared to what J.Norum played live around that time. IMO the Superstitious thing is a bit true but not because John "doesn't know what the F is doing"( big part of that solo is made of 6 notes per string which is not rocket science). In EUROPE he has freedom and he plays whatever he likes to play and since he wasn't in OOTW he doesn't care too much about playing the solos note per note, look what he did to Ready or not Solo. When John played with Dokken he did an amazing job with Lynch Solos playing them pretty close to the originals but that was a request from don dokken, so to conclude He can do it, he just chose not to. anyways ... |
