As I'm sure most of us on this board know, for a few years there seemed to be some healthy media generated competition between Bon Jovi and Europe. Last night (4/17/22) I watched the new Bon Jovi - Breaking the Band documentary on Reelz channel here in the US, and on multiple occasions, they were talking about Bon Jovi being on tour in Europe/UK, and they showed what looked the be the marquee at the Hammersmith showing EUROPE - SOLD OUT! Bon Jovi wasn't displayed anywhere. I had to laugh because they showed it multiple times, and thought it was pretty ironic given the media-hyped competition between both bands in the 86-88 timeframe, not to mention just poor editing on the production company's part.

Thanks for sharing!!! As you said, it was basically a media generated competition to sell more magazines... Wish I could find somee decent footages of the performance of both bands at Milton Keynes in 1989!
