I've found DVD and CD of Europe called "Live in Stockholm 2008" ... The cover is amazing ... Tempest "stage clothes" are from LLAE tour, so that isn´t a pic from 2008, I guess.... This doesn´t look like an official release for me...

I guess it's an edit made by the own record store.

Hi,
This is my first post here. I found my way to this forum specifically to find out what this release is and found this thread!
I've only recently gotten into Europe again, thanks to their amazing last 4 albums, and love the last record so much that I've gone back & bought like every Europe release I can find to complete my catalog. I had 2 albums during the '80's but never liked them very much - that has changed quite a bit now!
Anywho - I just got about 8 Europe CDs I ordered in the mail yesterday. One is this "Live In Stockholm" 2008 two CD set, another is "Almost Unplugged".
I was scratching my head last night wondering why they had the same tracklist, and both are from January 2008 in Stockholm. They have to be the same show right?
The weird thing is that although the tracklists are the same, the Live In Stockholm release is LONGER than Almost Unplugged. Almost Unplugged is about 78 minutes total, but Stockholm is 46:43 for CD1 and 37:59 for CD2 - about a full 6 minutes longer! Contrary to what is said above Stockholm does NOT have a DVD - it is 2 CDs.
I bought both from a reputable seller (ImportCDs) and Stockholm is also sold on Amazon, like it is an official release. The artwork etc is awful impressive if it is a "bootleg".
If anyone knows the full story about this could you post up here? I'd like to know what is fully different between the two releases - does one sound better than the other/better mastering? What 6 minutes were edited out on Almost Unplugged etc??
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum slipkid!
My guess is that Live in Stockholm could be the webcast version of the concert. I know that a part of the singalong in "Rock the Night" (maybe a minute or so) was edited out on the Almost Unplugged CD and a lot of Joey's talking between the songs was edited out as well.

What you're saying makes sense. I have to sit down & listen to the Unplugged version, see how it compares soundwise. Was hoping it would be different shows but if not guess I'm still glad I have both versions.
