Stein, "Where Men Won't Dare" was not intended as an instrumental, right? I don't think so. I'd guess that Joey did a demo version with vocals, like this one for "On Broken Wings":

Well then while I'm here, maybe one of you can tell me whether those solos on the Don Dokken Up From the Ashes album are Norum solos mostly, or Billy White solos. Because the guitar playing on that album is some of the best I've ever heard. the solos from up from the ashes are mostly 50/50 1. "Crash 'N Burn" White 2. "1000 Miles Away" Norum 3. "When Some Nights" White 4. "Forever" Norum ( the final countdown lick in the solo ) 5. "Living a Lie" Norum 6. "When Love Finds a Fool" White 7. "Give It Up" Norum 8. "Mirror Mirror" White/Norum 9. "Stay" White 10. "Down in Flames" I would say norum/white 11. "The Hunger" I would say first white and then norum Well, that's more detail than I possibly could have imagined, and finally answers a question I've had for 30 years. Thank you!

Yeah, those old 4-track recorder cassette demos from TFC era are very interesting indeed. Too bad I never heard any TFC (song) demo.
