Hi All,
As one of the few on the board from the US, I've been thinking about their set list for this summer. They are number 3 on the bill with Foreigner and Kansas, so at best they'll have about 30-35 minutes to play. I'm also guessing that since they haven't played to crowds this large in the US for a long time, they are going to have to stick with the songs the masses know. Certainly they play those every night on their other tours, but with time constraints, I'd guess it will be the "hits" plus a couple new tracks, time permitting...Other than the small club tours here, the masses don't know much about anything new, and I fear they'd scare off those on the fence if they opened with 1 or 2 new tracks. They can get away with that in other parts of the world, but I don't think here.
I don't see anything pre-TFC unless they squeeze in Scream of Anger, and nothing post-OOTW from the first era unless Girl from Lebanon, but I'd guess if they can toss in 2 songs to introduce the audience to the "new" era of the band, they'd rather do that, than play Scream or Lebanon. Obviously, due to time, no guitar solo, etc...etc.. Guessing something like...
Ready or Not Rock the Night Superstitious Carrie *newer song Cherokee TFC
If they add in a couple new songs, probably from this group.. *Walk the Earth *War of Kings *Last Look at Eden *Days of Rock n Roll *Hole in my Pocket
