Great interview, must go out and get a copy! I kind of agree with what JT says...it 'is' good Europe have invented themselves and chosen a new and exciting path for them. That is very commendable and great they've stuck to their guns on that. But I do miss the songs and melodies from the 80s...even the production techniques. It's ironic because they don't like the 80s sound/techniques yet they laud praise on bands and producers that are lifting the same techniques from the 70s...so yeah...bit contradictory but each to their own. I'd take 1986 over 1976 or 2016 or any other year. If only I had a time machine...

Excellent interview. Though I wouldn't call Europe a political band, I've always preferred this special kind of "cryptic" lyrics (Wings of Tomorrow, Kingdom United etc.)
