Support for EUROPE in Social Networks

Recently I've had an interesting conversation with a friend, also a follower of the band, about the kind of support that EUROPE's fans carry out. In these 14 years, the journey of EUROPE has been accompanied by the proliferation of the Internet and social networks. All this has drawn a radically different picture to the kind of support that people have given to musicians in previous decades where TV, radio and magazines were the only channels of information.
Our conversation in particular focuses on the "use of the image of the band members and the band itself". The reflection we do is to what extent it is positive that all or most of us share photos, reviews, information about them, beyond even in the case of the photos, put the CREDITS of them, because in the end it is true that we are taking out a benefit of a job that is not ours.
The idea is to reflect if it's something positive, if we can understand how a positive support initiatives like this forum, or facebook groups, even those who meet the rules, those who don't talk about their private lives, those who when they hang a photo names who belongs, but in fact, this support is good for the band?
Or on the contrary, it's better that themselves through their official channels (their official page and their Facebook page and instagram) are the only sources of information, so that it is the band that really controls their image, and especially in this case, it is important to know, if there is a possibility of doing so in a global world, could they to have the control of its image restricted to only its official sites?
And finally we talked about the opinion of the band about all this. About if they really see in a positive way places like this forum, or facebook groups where many people meet to talk about them or not ... well, obviously we don't know, is all a suppose.
