Just curious what others think about the release last October and then minimal immediate touring to promote it? Then the few month gap in 2018 before kicking into some dates.... Unless you are into Europe at the levels most of us are, I think this release would have dropped off your radar by now. To some degree (and I know many don't like any Europe/Bon Jovi comparisons) it seems a lot like Bon Jovi's current release here in the US where they put out the album, played a handful of dates before the holidays, and then had to re-release the album with some bonus tracks before going back on tour for the second leg to make it top of mind again... Yes, BJ is still packing out arenas in the US so it's not a matter of drawing concert goers for them, but "This House"... was pretty much forgotten by everyone quickly because they didn't do much with it once originally released.
I know some of my opinion is because I live in the US, where Europe never really got solid footing, so they have not had wide spread success here. Much of that goes to a blunder by management back in the OOTW time frame.
Overall, I'm just not feeling the traction with WTE that the last couple albums seemed to have.

I totally agree. I live in Canada, again Europe release an album and get noticed then seem to disappear for a spell losing momentum... not that they come to Canada anyway unfortunately. But they do have fans here. I’m happy to be part of this forum, as it’s a great way to see concert clips and keep updated with news. Thanks everyone!

Well, for THIS Canadian fan, 'Walk The Earth' isn't a missed opportunity for me, because I bagged one of the overflow WTE picture disc LPs at a store in my city yesterday. It's the 1st time I've ever bought a NEW EUROPE album, in LP form, in a store anywhere in the world.

Much of that goes to a blunder by management back in the OOTW time frame. Overall, I'm just not feeling the traction with WTE that the last couple albums seemed to have. I totally agree. I think that the released of the band's Tour after the publication of the album WALK THE EARTH has been atypical. Generally after publishing the first single and with a release of the video and album that usually makes a lot of noise, with promotions in all social networks, some time passes and the tour that promote this work is published. I liked it when at other times in previous albums the band reports all the cities they have signed at the same time, but now it is all very step by step. Dates that are not related in time, first if I remember well, they told us about the Tour in September in the UK, then they were saying some European city, but there were weeks between the publications. I don't know, I also think that this isn't good for the album. It is true that living in Europe we have an advantage because here the band has a greater follow-up and even more in my country Spain this year we have 4 dates to see them live, but even so, everything I have told before is something strange, I expected a Tour told in another way. I was also surprised that some cities are missing, in countries like Germany there are no dates and Italy has only one. The European Tour of any EUROPE album is usually much bigger than it is on this occasion. I have to say that I'm also surprised that they have not yet published a second SINGLE, ... it's been a while since the first one was published, the second one was announced and nothing ... But in this reflection I think we have to take into account that the music world is really complicated, I guess it is increasingly difficult to close dates, the promoters must ensure their income and when in doubt, they will not hire. The business world in general is more fearful and restrictive, things are not as they used to be, and it is getting harder and harder to keep up. So, I think maybe this situation is not the fault of the band's team, (although I've never liked their line of promotion, it's a personal opinion) I think they would also like to be able to publish in December 2017 a Great tour loaded with dates for EUROPE but maybe it can not be. On the other hand, I still think that the promotion of this band is very poor, along with the involvement of their fans. Right now we are in a hot moment for WALK THE EARTH where you have to make it known, there is nothing that attracts more people to want to know about EUROPE, nothing, they have a Facebook page with more than a million people and their activity It could be improved, especially now that the album has to be released. Contests, M & G (more), Surveys, ... VIPS Passes, ... and to do attractive OFFICIAL PAGE of the band, which does'nt exists. Years ago we had a blog, a small but incredible place where the band showed their tours, now it is supposed to have been replaced by Facebook but nothing to do. In 2012 they closed the Official Forum, I don't comment more on that topic and how the fans were treated. And a few years ago they started doing (for a few months) some initiative on facebook where they published photos of fans that had a great reception! What does that mean ? That you have people who want to know about you, because nowadays social networks are EVERYTHING, that's why you have to work them much more. Well, I'm sorry, I've extended a lot, this is my humble opinion. I say all this because to close concerts, people have to know your work, you have to know that you are there, that you don't live from the past and that you have much to offer, but not only in english magazines, Now the Tour in Australia begins, I wish you all the success of the world, let's see how is the welcome? And if they are able to have a good entry there. Joey has recorded some video and has done interviews in some Australian media. Good luck. Maybe in United States and Canada they don't have the reception they have in EUROPE, I suppose it is a very difficult market, but so is the English market, and here they have found their place. Their office managers are Americans and I'm sure they have tried to make their presence there more, although I'm afraid that the public will have more marked than in Europe the time of The Final Countdown, a stigma difficult to leave behind. Well let's see ! Maybe they will public more dates ... and good luck also to american fans I hope that the band touring over there.

Yes I am inclined to agree to some extent. From my point of view (in the UK) it feels like there is less momentum this time compared with previous releases. Having a long gap between the release and the main touring has contributed to this feeling. Although in the UK we are generally pretty spoilt because Europe tend to visit us pretty frequently.
