First Semi Final in our Battle of the songs WHENEVER YOU'RE READY. We have been looking for a representative of each studio album for weeks, and we already have it. In this this first semi final we also include the winner of the ALBUM N.12 formed with some “Lost songs” but that also deserve their opportunity. We value the EUROPE of the first stage, the band that changed our lives, so let’s go! We are going to present the semi finalists:

ALBUM “EUROPE”: SEVEN DOORS HOTEL


Song written by Joey Tempest, was one of the first songs written by him, and inspired by the Italian horror movie The Beyond. In Japan it was a success reaching to enter the top 10. This is what Joey said about it:

“This is an early Europe song. Not only was it on the first album, it was also one of the first songs written for the first album, so it’s actually a very early Europe song. It was probably the first song to get us some recognition outside of Sweden. In fact, when I first went to Japan when I was 21 the song was in all the hard rock and heavy metal clubs, and people were going nuts for it. So it was an important song for the band early on, and it’s a cool track with lots of different feels and parts to it, and a nice melodic guitar solo too.” LOUDER SOUND
