IMHO I think they should part ways with Patric... I think the last videos are getting pretty predictable with the shots of the band and stuff. It's not that the man is not talented, it seems like Europe should experiment with other directors who might catch their magic better than Patric does. I agree.

I perfectly understand that they don't care too much about how their videos are going to turn out (Joey mentioning the rock band stuff they're doing with the music and all, going past their posing years), but that's just my two cents on the matter. I totally agree with you ... but what if the band wanted this common thread in their videos ? what if the band wanted some repeated features as a signature for their videos !? I'm just asking and it would be interesting to have some comments from the band members I find it a little bit repetitive, nevertheless this last one has struck me a little bit more than the others.

I think the same, I would like to see something like what guns and roses did with November rain or even Prisoners in paradise video, something with a story, otherwise is like watching them performing live because with the recent albums the difference between the record and a live performance is almost none.

I see what you mean. They're not into appearances or stuff like that these days, but if you're actually doing a video - why not experiment a little? I'm fine with the whole 'band performing' concept they're pushing, I just think there could be someone out there who can bring out their awesomeness in a whole new light.

The fact that there is a story doesn't mean that the band doesn't have to be shown while playing. But having a bunch of videos like this is getting repetitive for me, and it doesn't make me feel eager to see another music video. I also prefer a little bit of context or a story in a music video.

For me the video is just 'OK' but nothing more than that. It is a bit too much in a similar vein to previous videos, and the use of filters / effects goes a bit overboard in my opinion.

Well I join a bit to the opinion of all, the video seems right , shows a band at a great time, and nothing more ... that I think is the philosophy that EUROPE wants to convey. I honestly don't see the band doing a video in which the guys are part of a story and we see them act offstage, like Joey in OPEN YOUR HEART or something like that, now the band has another marked path, and very marked maybe too This is why they focus on always showing their musical aspect that is very powerful. I think that since most of us here have seen them live so we don't surprise anymore, but they make videos for more people not only for the most loyal fans who know all their videos perfectly, and watching it from that point of view, this work is very strong, potent if I was not a fan of the band and saw this video for the first time without having much information about the Europe of recent years, it would really surprise me for good! Wow I think it's pure rock! I like it !! But as I'm not, it's true that I would like a turn, even if it was small in their next videos, and that even showing the band on stage look for different locations, and that they can innovate within their own style. In my humble opinion.

I echo what others have said...it's not that Patric isn't talented and good at what he does - he clearly is, but for me there are too many effects and different colours. Personally I would like to see a simpler visual presentation, maybe black and white but with minimal effects.

Agree with all that the videos are all looking the same in some ways, and maybe it's time for a change from Patric. I sort of feel the same way about moving away from Cobb on the next album. That said, I am sure they are trying to get the biggest bang for the money, and it's a lot cheaper (I would imagine) to keep doing these performance videos and then use a lot of effects to change it up. It's not like the 80's, early 90's when everyone spent a ton of money on videos for MTV.
